I met Jill a few years ago, and recommended her to a client who had just remodelled their San Francisco home. She was reasonably priced, humble, professional, friendly and was a pleasure to work with. I look forward to collaborating again!

Lauren did an excellent job helping us update several rooms in our very dated townhome. She very thoughtfully created designs with a particular attention to the fact that we have two small children and the result was a beautiful but also smart and functional space with which we are so thrilled. Additionally, she and Jill were both professional and a real pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend Visual Jill to anyone who wants their home to look amazing. We love our "new" home!

Jill and Lauren are wonderful to work with. Our project with Visual Jill was in two phases. We needed their assistance with our kitchen backsplash , coordinating hardware and color. Fantastic jiob! We had to delay our project for personal reasons. And when we were ready to resume, there was an issue with ordering the tile. Lauren made phone calls and was able to locate some of the the last batch of the tile, but there was a catch. We had to get to the manufacturer before someone else bought it. Happy to say, we got there in time and saved about $1500! Our second phase was about final wall color in the adjacent living room, front door, bedroom and doing art displays. They also provided input on new furniture color and accents. We know what we like, but we can't pull it together. Jill and Lauren to the rescue. Lauren @ Visual Jill did a fantastic job with our place in Orinda. We had very specific requirements heading into the project, and were only able to provide Lauren and her team @ Visual Jill with a few photographs of how we wanted our house to look like. Lauren was artistic and skilled enough to cater entirely to our every request, and was able to deliver on an identified style that we wanted the house to convey. The house was completely transformed in a matter of months, and the people at Visual Jill took care of everything—from planning to installation of all home décor/furniture items in the house. One thing I noticed was how the team @ Visual Jill were able to coordinate colors so perfectly. They were able to infuse a subtle brightness, utilizing refreshing colors with various furniture pieces throughout the house, giving it a very cheery and lively feel. What was most surprising was how the designers were able to implement the joyful nature of the color choices perfectly in harmony with some of the classy and modernistic furniture pieces. These elements really helped to give the entire house a sophisticated vibe with a tinge of classiness. In addition to everything, the team was also a pleasure to work with. There were many adjustments that had to be made overseas and communication was clear and coordinated in a timely fashion. I would definitely recommend them for future projects, as the whole team at Visual Jill clearly have very refined aesthetic tastes that can help you transform any space into a beautiful contemporary living environment.

Jill and her team are wonderful! She's helped my husband and I pick out interior and exterior paint colors, bathroom/kitchen tiles, and general sprucing up of our home (furnishing, art work, rugs, etc). She's also staged my client's homes with compliments galore!

Jill McCoy and her team at Visual Jill are amazing. They are extremely professional and creative, but are open to working with my ideas and what I like. We are in the process of completely renovating every inch of my home and so far the results are extraordinary. Lauren at Visual Jill did a fantastic job for us with a difficult task: taking a small bedroom with awkward dimensions and turning it into a space that a six-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl would actually want to share. Three months later, our kids are still happily co-habitating, and their room is a wonderful place to be (for kids and grown-ups alike). Lauren managed to maximize every square inch of the room, and make it all look great in the process. She made us a great Pinterest board with furniture ideas, plus a really amazing Photoshop mock-up of the room that showed exactly what the furniture would look like in the room, with new paint colors and all. Once we settled on final choices, she did all the ordering and connected us with a room painter. After we’d assembled all the furniture (this is time-consuming, so it’s worth bearing in mind that it falls outside the scope of Visual Jill’s services), Lauren and Jill came over to re-shelve the kids’ books, hang pictures, affix a very cool wall decal, and generally spiff the place up. Altogether a great experience working with Visual Jill, and we would definitely hire them for future projects.

Jill and Lauren did an amazing job helping us decorate our new modern home in San Francisco. We LOVE it! They were easy to work with, prompt and always helpful. I especially appreciated that they worked to incorporate some of our more traditional pieces into a harmonious modern feel. They did a good job of listening to our needs and wants and incorporating them into the final design. We couldn't be happier with our home!

We hired Visual Jill to help decorate our home. We are renting but were in much need of new furnishings as our previous items were not only an eyesore, they were terribly worn. This is the first time we used interior design services and I didn't know where to begin. My internet search left me feeling overwhelmed and ready to give up until I came across Visual Jill website. Seeing the wide range of projects that were stunningly beautiful and functional and the clear description of fees helped me overcome my hesitation and make the call. I couldn't be happier with my choice. Jill and designer Lauren came over to our home for an initial assessment. We have young children and cats and I needed functional, easy to clean and durable items that were aesthetically pleasing. Lauren was the designer who worked with us and within days presented us with with beautiful designs and a very reasonable cost estimate. I also found a few items on my own and Lauren was very flexible and accommodating with my last minute requests. Once we received all our items, she came over to install a wall picture gallery and arrange the furniture. It was like watching an engineer, magician and artist rolled into one. Our home was transformed a couple of hours! The family room became playful and fun, the picture wall gallery was stunning, our entry hallway was inviting and and functional and our formal living room was elegant and modern. Coordinating and selecting all the elements, from textures, colors and combination of fabrics, leather, wood, glass and metal were indeed the work of a master and turned our house into a very enjoyable and beautiful home. Jill and Lauren are honest, friendly, professional, very talented and fun to work with. I am almost sad the process is over! Of course we can't wait to work with them again in our future projects and I highly recommend Visual Jill to anyone decorating or staging a home.

Last year, I moved back into a 1,500 square foot loft that need a complete overhaul. Jill and Lauren helped me through the entire process and not only did an amazing job, but made it fun! We communicated with photos and our opinions a great deal, but we also went shopping together. For me, it was a huge project and I was completed intimidated by it. But Jill and Lauren took the stress out of it, and transitioned my loft into a truly lovely living space. Jill helped me choose trim colors for the difficult-to-coordinate exterior color of my home. I hired Visual Jill to help with a small interior decorating job for my new condo. I worked primarily with Lauren, and she is fantastic. First, she is really easy to work with and very accommodating. She is warm, sweet and pleasant to be around. She was also willing to work within my budget and do as little or as much as I wanted, which I really appreciated. Second, she was very responsive to my likes and dislikes, even when they differed from hers. She listened to what I wanted, and then was very helpful in locating the items I wanted. It was just the right mix of her giving me ideas and steering me toward what would look good and letting me guide the process so that I would get a result I really liked and that felt like "me." One big plus is that the company passes on their full designer discount to the customer, so I felt like that practically paid for her services. The only downside with that is that most of the shopping was done at major retailers that offer the discounts as opposed to "off the beaten path," but with my budget and time limitations, that made the most sense - if you have more time to spend and don't care as much about the discount, they are definitely open to sourcing at different retailers, etc. Overall, this was a great experience, and - most importantly - I'm very happy with the results. My place looks great, and the process was relatively painless (which is saying a lot from someone like me). Thanks Lauren and Jill!

We love these girls! Visual Jill is a super fun company that is working hard to bring modern design to anyone and everyone! We love modern design to begin with, but they make it affordable! Visual Jill has the"know-how" and more importantly the "know-where" for modern art in the Bay Area. We love their use of abstract modern art and ability to mix a modern style with older homes. They are down-to-earth, passionate, & just a fun...smiley company to be around!

We worked with Visual Jill to redo my daughter's room. They were easy to work with and had great ideas. They were great with helping us select new furniture as well as using some existing furniture. We finished on time. My daughter and I are thrilled with the results. I can't wait to work on more rooms!

We are very happy with our final design for our dining and living rooms! Jill and Lauren have a very down to earth style and are very easy to work with, making it a pleasure and fun for us to redesign our space. They iterated the plan as we evolved our vision. She's take the time to get to know you and your style, so her recommendations show off your personality! She is also fun and easy to work with and will work within your budget and/or timeline. We had a mid-century modern house that looked nothing like it before we hired Jill. Now all of our friends want to have their parties at our house! We've now hired her for two projects and will call her for our next one too!

I recently bought a home in Berkeley and needed a designer with whom I could communicate my ideas and interests and who would translate that input into a fully furnished home. I was living on the East Coast during most of the planning and decision making but this never posed a problem for JIll and her team. I moved into my new home last April. Jill McCoy and her team of professionals surpassed my highest expectations. I have worked with designers in the past so this experience was not my first in home decorating. It is truly an art to do design work well but to work with someone 3000 miles away and to translate that into a space that feels like home is exceptional.

I have worked with Jill on 2 houses that I designed, and had a great experience in both cases. The first one was for a homeowner, and Jill was fantastic at coming up with livable solutions that fit the occupant perfectly. The second was staging for a spec house, and the interior was a lot of fun while maintaining a mass appeal. Again, excellent work, I highly recommend Visual Jill!
