“Working with Ann at Just the Thing Decorating was an absolute game-changer for us! After our recent marriage, we needed help seamlessly blending two distinct households and their existing pieces into one unified, beautiful home without it feeling mismatched or crowded. Ann brought great vision, warmth, and expertise to the entire project. Her spot-on painting suggestions and thoughtful design features transformed our space, balancing style, comfort, and functionality. She made the collaborative process fun and stress-free, expertly guiding us through choices we were unsure about and turning our house into a home we both love. We couldn't be more thrilled with the results and recommend Ann without hesitation!”

“We recently purchased a new home, and working with Rachael Elise Design has been a wonderful experience. Rachael has an incredible eye for design and is helping us create a home that feels both beautiful and uniquely ours. What impresses me most is how much she accomplishes in a short amount of time. She is organized, efficient, and always comes prepared with creative ideas. At the same time, she is flexible and genuinely values her clients’ input. She listens to my opinions and helps guide decisions that not only look amazing but also reflect my personality and lifestyle. One of my favorite parts of the process is shopping together. Rachael makes it fun and stress-free while helping narrow down options and ensuring everything works cohesively. She has a talent for balancing great design with her clients’ personal style, and I appreciate how collaborative the entire process has been. I also appreciate that she works with pieces we already own and love, finding ways to incorporate them into the overall design rather than starting from scratch. It makes the home feel personal and intentional while still elevating the entire space. We recently hosted a housewarming party, and our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how beautiful our home looks. Several people mentioned that it felt comfortable, welcoming, and even like a luxury Airbnb. Hearing those reactions was incredibly rewarding, and it speaks to Rachael’s ability to create spaces that are not only beautiful but also inviting and enjoyable to live in. I highly recommend Rachael Elise Design to anyone looking for a talented, professional, and personable interior designer. I am excited to continue working with her and can’t wait to see the finished result.”

“I’ve known Ruthie Staalsen for almost forty years, and have always admired her sense of style, but it was only recently that I had the privilege of working with her professionally. Over the last two years, she assisted me with two projects: a smaller game room renovation and a renovation of the main living spaces downstairs. Given that I live in Houston and she lives in the Dallas area, we planned both projects via Zoom and phone calls. Upstairs, Ruthie helped me figure out my game room's new layout, as well as choose paint, furniture, and decor. Downstairs, she helped with all that and more, updating the space with cool design elements like wallpaper and lighting. I especially loved her redesign of my fireplace mantel and an awkward desk in my kitchen; somehow, she turned the latter into a sleek area with a display shelf and big storage drawers that we love! Always attentive to your needs and style, Ruthie willingly listens to your likes and dislikes. She'll give you design ideas, but you will not hurt her feelings if you don’t care for them. At the end of the day, her goal is for you to be delighted with your home. Ruthie is a beautiful soul, inside and out. God blessed her with an amazing gift that she shares with the world, and I’m blessed to call her my friend.”
