“Sunfox Campground in Lisbon CT was seeking to install a heated, zero-depth beach entry pool with an L shaped design, as well as a whirlpool spa. Although I knew many "residential" pool installers, none were able to handle our "commercial" installation...and only some really big companies were willing to provide a quote. Luckily, we came across Dennis and Custom Construction Designs. After a 5 minute conversation, I knew we had found our pool professional, as he understood all the intricacies of our plan. Despite being delayed by some zoning issues, Dennis was ready to start as soon as all permits were in place, and the estimated construction time was very accurate (which was 7-8 weeks for our project). It is rare to find your pool contact person is on the job site so frequently with his crew. We got to know his staff, and they were always willing to help tweak plans as the installation progressed. He also allows you to determine which components of your pool plan should be handled by his company, or by any preferred contractors you might have (in terms of landscaping, deck options etc). We chose a gunite pool and a stamped concrete deck, and he offered a few options for deck and fence companies. We discussed all potential upgrades, from filter systems to lighting and pool surfacing, and he was up front about any added costs of those options. Whenever I woke up in the middle of the night with some unfounded concern, he always responded to my early calls or texts. He is familiar with all aspects of the pool industry, and knows where to get answers for any questions that may be unique. Take your time when selecting your pool installer, as any salesperson can sell you a pool...but will they be the one you call if you have any questions? We strongly recommend Dennis Sullivan and Custom Construction Designs for any pool installation or upgrade.”
