“Had "failing" AC unit, ran but would hardly cool, had several HVAC contractors out to diagnose or quote new unit. First tech did "free" inspection, said actual diagnostic would cost $250 but guessed at repairs of $1500-$2500. At that cost it made more sense to replace, so I had others out to quote replacement cost ($3800--$5000 for AC only, from $8k to $11k for new AC and furnace). Joe (Metro HC owner) came out and looked at system, said he thought likely repairable for much less $ and that having a tech out next day to run diagnostics would be $99. I said ok, and next day his tech found stuck expansion valve that cost less than $600 to replace. I had a few other maintenance issues taken care of , system working great since. My HVAC system is 10 yrs old so should go for a while, but when I replace I will make first call to Metro.”
