“We hired Jane Brookman of Jane Brookman Designs to design and coordinate a full master bathroom remodel in our Seattle home, and the experience was excellent. The project went down to the studs and included a custom shower, new soaking tub, tile floors and walls, lighting, plumbing fixtures, vanity cabinetry, mirrors, paint, and a redesigned toilet room. Jane helped transform what was previously a dark, broody bathroom into a light, spa-like space with a modern look that feels welcoming and relaxed, and very much like us. This was our first major home renovation, so communication and guidance were extremely important to us. Jane was consistently responsive, organized, and professional. She patiently walked us through the process, helped us navigate the many design decisions, and coordinated effectively with our general contractor to keep the project on schedule. Jane also helped us make thoughtful material and fixture selections and was especially helpful when we requested a few scope changes. Instead of simply accepting budget increases, she worked with us to find materials that kept us closer to our original expectations. Her creativity and resourcefulness made a real difference in the final result. The finished bathroom feels like a spa retreat. The space is light, bright, and beautiful while still being very functional. My wife especially loves the new soaking tub and now enjoys relaxing baths every week, something she had not done in more than ten years. Several months after the renovation was completed, we are still enjoying the space every day. She is thorough, detail oriented and responsive. What I appreciated the most was her concern to meet the budget.
