“Kate Carpenter and her team at Stowe Kitchen Bath and Linens provided incredible interior design services for us on our 1796-year-old farmhouse. We were interested in preserving what we love about our home but wanted to add some modern features and update a few rooms. I contacted Kate on a whim and she came shortly thereafter for a house visit. She made lots of suggestions, gave great advice, and then sent us her recommendations on furniture and other elements to consider. I can't stress how helpful and insightful Kate was with our desired update. We had struggled with a traditional dining room set in a long rectangular room. It's a beautiful piece but felt old-fashioned. Kate suggested adding lower upholstered chairs to mix with our current ones and I have to say- Magic! My least favorite room is now my favorite space! She also helped us with another tricky room which had a baby grand as the centerpiece. The piano was just too large for the space and Kate immediately knew where to move it to enhance it and the room. Every bit of advice we used and I will seek her advice as we continue to update. On a personal note, Kate is a very positive, engaging, creative woman with incredible energy and work ethic. Her team is equally talented and responsive. ability to connect with carpet and furniture suppliers. She's amazing and your house will be too!”

I gave them just two words, California spa, to describe the image I had in my mind for my room and they interpreted it even better than I had imagined. The choice of paint color was perfect, it made a statement without being too bold.
