“Kimball Bonamici is an extremely talented, hard working, and experienced interior designer. She has a great sense of design, is very easy to work with, and produces tangible results quickly. In 2009, I located Kimball through the ASID while I was searching for a design professional. I hired her to help me furnish a new townhouse. During our first meeting, we discussed options for covering 19 windows and sliding glass doors in my home. Kimball listened to my wishes and ideas then presented options for me to consider. She never pushed me to choose a particular window covering, but she directed me towards choices that were functional, good looking, and within my budget. Next, I worked with Kimball to replace the carpet that was installed by the builder. Again, Kimball listened to my interests then presented me with smart choices that met my needs and budget. Afterwards, I worked with Kimball to reupholster cushions on dining chairs that I moved from my previous home. Around the same time, we ordered area rugs for my dining area and halls. On both matters, Kimball worked with me to transform my ideas for fabrics and textures into smart product selections. Later, I worked with Kimball to select new furniture for my bedroom and main living area. Like before, Kimball listened to my ideas then recommended choices that looked good and worked well in my home. Kimball arranged for me to visit design showrooms in Dallas to view furniture. With Kimball's help, I narrowed my choices. Kimball priced different pieces and told me where I could get the best prices on the pieces I selected. Finally, Kimball worked with me to select fabrics and wood finishes. The advice that Kimball offered regarding fabrics and finishes made the end result striking. She helped me achieve the look that I wanted in my home. Kimball also worked with me to select replacement ceiling fans, to hang existing pieces of art, and to order custom mirrors for my bedroom and powder room. When any problems arose, Kimball and her husband Tom worked diligently to resolve them to my satisfaction. Even though my initial project is complete, I plan to continue to use Kimball's services to help with the placement of new pieces of art and the selection of furniture for my home office. The greatest value that Kimball provided was listening to my needs and wishes then transforming them into tangible results that fully met my expectations. I have great respect for Kimball and Tom. I highly recommend their services.”

Thanks to them, in a big way, Silverton Custom Homes was awarded the prestigious 2013 Southern Living Custom Builder of the Year award. To top it all off the Home is also a finalist in the Southern Living Home of the Year competition. Great people to work with. “Elizabeth helped remodel and refurnish our attached garage apartment. She provided designs and advice for the kitchenette which make it much more attractive and useful, while keeping the integrity of the ADA accommodations. The kitchenette preexisted the original remodel of this space (bathroom, bedroom with kitchenette, and living room) in the 1990s to make the space ADA compliant for a grandparent to live in. Even way back then, when she was a high school student, Elizabeth was able to recommend bathroom fixtures, design details like doorknobs and drawer pulls, tile, and flooring that made the space very comfortable and safe. In the last few months, with her education and experience as a professional designer, she helped us rethink the space in terms of universal design, as a suite suitable for overnight and long-term stays and for multi-generational guests from toddlers to the elderly. It is a multiple-use space, too: it does double-duty as an office space/retreat for my husband and provides convenient and comfortable extra space during parties. Elizabeth patiently talked us through many different possibilities and helped us make decisions about new wall tile, new flooring, and new fixtures and furnishings. She was careful to work with existing items and to work within a tight budget. She communicated well with the contractors and supervised the demolition, new build, and repainting. The project was completed in November, having taken a total of eight weeks from the first consultations we had with her. During this eight weeks, she drew and revised plans, talked with the contractor, helped us select paint and tile, advised me on ordering the furniture, fixtures, and accessories, and supervised the project. Her imagination, creativity, knowledge, and experience are not merely worth the cost; she saved us money. While the finished project definitely bears her stamp, it blends with the rest of the house and looks like this is the way it was originally intended when it was first built.”
