“We have worked with Marisa for over a year on the remodel of our basement. We highly recommend her! We are probably unique clients because we did a lot of the work ourselves. Marisa was patient with us, worked at our pace, and was very responsive to our requests and questions during the remodel process. Our work with Marisa started by hiring her to help us design the space - entry way, living room, kids play area, exercise room, laundry room, guest room - including tearing down and building new walls. She provided a thorough lay out and design recommendations, including two great built-in shelving units and a new tiled gas fireplace. Her color, fabric, carpet, tile choices were spot-on. When furniture items were outside our budget range, she came up with good lower cost alternatives. And she always has recommendations for contractors or stores to meet our needs. Marisa is fabulous - her expertise is well worth the cost!”

“I hired Pierre Jean-Baptiste Interiors to create a new look for our den. We needed new furnishings, accessories, lighting, and a fresh coat of paint. We are a family of four and we needed a timeless space to relax after busy work and school days. To my surprise the project turned out better than expected. They provided the electrician to come and replace my old hanging chandelier. The painters were on time and clean. After proposing a sofa that I was not 100% sold on, I went against my feelings to let them piece the room together and I could not have been happier with the selections. Thanks again!”

“B. Chic Interiors is a complete design based company. Bridget, the owner of B. Chic was very knowledgeable in design, furniture placement, paint colors, and was very budget concise. She is very easy to work with and has a delightful personality. Bridget helped me with paint colors, room design, choosing hardwood floors, window treatments, new furniture, kitchen backsplash, painting of kitchen cabinets, and new island for a large condo renovation. Within days of our meeting a complete package was e-mailed to me with cost estimates, and design pieces that she suggested. She will give you discounts from the companies she uses. You have the option of paying hourly and using her ideas, or having Bridget go with you and help with your choices. I highly recommend B. Chic interiors. Her help was invaluable, the project turned out beautiful was done on a budget and I couldn't be happier!”

“I first met Gina when she was the designer for a friend's home and I loved what she did for them. I hired her to redo the bathrooms in my home in Maryland and that led to the whole house. You can tell that she loves what she does by the attention she pays to each detail of the project. Later I hired her to help me redo my house in Texas. I was a little worried with the house being in Texas but once again she did a great job capturing exactly what I wanted and paying attention to all details of the project. No matter where I live Gina is the one I will go to whenever I have a design project. Gina is a true professional and a joy to work with. Thru our working together we became very good friends and I have been working for her part time in the design studio and in the retail store "Details of Design" for the last eight years. Even though I live in Texas now I still go back to Annapolis occasionally to work for her.”

Carol was great! She knew I was overwhelmed and sat down with me to understand my tastes and what I wanted to do. She did not rush me but gently kept me moving forward. “Janet Aurora of Decor and You took a huge hodge-podge basement full of cast-offs, under utilized antiques, builder grade/selection paint and zero personality and transformed it into a welcoming, warm, personable, fun and useable place. The basement now has a comfortable media viewing area, an area that can be used for projects, an attractive and much needed storage wall (with a service bar), conversation/reading nook for 4, two tables that can seat 16 for dinner, AND it can all be transformed into a party area (in which we comfortably hosted 47 people last weekend). She did an excellent job of incorporating my "memory pieces" (quilts, family furniture) with fresh new ideas, furniture, colors and patterns.....all within my budget. On top of it all, Janet was a blast to work with and even managed to pull my reluctant husband into the fray with her good humor and her ability to read people. This was not a "here is my plan, this is the way it will be" type of experience. I felt my input was carefully listened to. At the same time, I was told what might work better than some of my ideas and why. (And she was right...I guess that is why she is the professional!) Finally, the installers, painters, and construction people that she used were all top notch and friendly. An excellent experience, sort of sorry it is all over.”
