We wanted to update and upgrade practically everything, including windows, floors, ceiling, entire kitchen as well as the outdoor living areas. The finished result exceeded our expectations! Jule proposed options with space planning and architectural details that enhanced the existing architecture to create a livable art-piece that feels like home, shows off the views, and is naturally ventilated. We love walking barefoot throughout our home, and entertaining our guests!”

They truly will provide "a piece, a room, a home" --a small project or a large one with the same attention to detail and professionalism. I appreciate that they have such a knack for truly listening to their client. They also have the tact to sometimes save us from ourselves. The best reference they could get is the number of clients who hire them for multiple homes!”

“Our project was our new home. From the ground up, Sue & her team, Trans-Pacific Designs, worked with our architect & builder to realize our vision of our seaside home. We had specific ideas on how the house would look & feel & Sue was able to interpret those into a home that flows, not a jumble of disjointed rooms. She listened & then searched until she found just the solution that worked for the house & for us. Built-in furniture in living room & library, vanities in master, guest & powder room plus a lovely koa island in our kitchen were all designed & overseen by Sue in the construction phase. She was able to coordinate with painters, furniture makers & other related subcontractors. If problems arose, she & her team corrected them. If I wanted a certain light fixture or sofa she made it happen, even if it meant working with companies who do not normally ship to Hawaii. As an example of perseverance, my husband requested a recliner for watching television but the one we had picked was discontinued. Sue discovered that the company still had some frames for that chair & were willing to finish them for us. Above & beyond! TransPacific Designs won an award for our kitchen which is probably my favorite room. Glass tiles in greens & blues for the backsplash & swirling aqua colored stained inserts that she found for the cabinets brought the ocean right inside. A dream realized!”
