When we bought our home, it was dated, and while we quickly updated the kitchen and children's rooms, we lived for years with an awkward, unrenovated 1960s primary bedroom. The suite includes his and her walk in closets, a small hallway, a private office, and a spa like bathroom with a soaking tub, a large steam shower with backlit quartz stone, double sinks, and a private water closet, a true retreat for my husband and me. Even the exterior reflects his instincts, adding a modern edge with dark framed windows to the existing traditional East Coast architecture. Friends who visit often say our interior feels like a New York penthouse. Twelve years later, the home still feels fresh, elevated, and functional for how we live.
