“We met Susan after deciding to switch design firms. She won our trust instantly. She leaned into our preferences such as a white kitchen with a white Island and helped us to choose a color white that coordinates well with our built in book shelves in the adjoining great room. She recommended Calcutta Caldia Honed countertops and backsplash and never made us to feel like she did not have time to discuss details and custom options such as hardware and grills on the beverage bar. She brought her design team to our home in our first meeting which meant she meant business. And this helped win our trust big time. She advocated for unlacquered living finish brass hardware— which we ordered from Europe. She helped me choose colors that resonated with our love of color— while being honest about her likes and dislikes. I wanted to be involved every step of the way and she honored this. To get the marble to work she recommended Marble Armor to address our concerns about stains over time. Susan and team gave us a farm sink on the corner — we know they took our design seriously despite how challenging this feature was to make work. They did it. I have a particular style which includes antiques and an Old World aesthetic— curated over time and classic.
