“We met Déa at Lazyboy in Kanata in early 2024. We had purchased a newly built home and needed to furnish our open concept kitchen, dining and living room areas. Once we articulated our needs Déa came to our home and provided incredible design ideas. She populated a floor plan with the appropriately sized furniture, materials and beautiful colours. Her collaborative nature allowed us to quickly roll through colours and materials to complete our plan. Déa is easily approachable and a delight to work with. We had a good idea of our needs however utilizing Déa’s design abilities it helped guide us through every step. We love everything about our newly populated, open concept home. “Towards the end of 2021, I began a "Life's Dream" project of building a custom log home to retire to. I found the Log Home provider that best suited my needs and began working with them on customizing the design plan I wanted. During this process I discovered Patti Lindsay from Peacock Blu Living. In addition to being a designer she is also trained in drafting and building design. I showed her the plans for the log cabin, specifically the master loft area, to see if something different could be done. The original plan included a master bedroom, a secondary bedroom, an office, and a shared bathroom. Closet space was also limited in both bedrooms. I asked her to look at the plans as I only wanted one master bedroom, an office, a larger bathroom to include both a shower and bath tube, and an oversized walk-in closet. She worked with me on the new design for about a week before she came up with exactly what I wanted. During her review of the full cabin plan however, she noticed that the windows selected for the bedroom were inconsistent with the oversized architectural windows chosen for the floor to ceiling main living area. (Both of the areas are on the back side of the cabin). When we added the same design windows to the master bedroom (same design only slight smaller) not only did this increase the eye appeal of the overall design but it dramatically improved the amount of natural light coming into the master bedroom. Perfect!! Could not be more pleased with her efforts. Overall she if professional, incredibly knowledgeable in many areas, and an absolute pleasure to work with. I could not recommend her more highly.”
