“Tanisha and Denise make an amazing team, we are thrilled with the results! We wanted to furnish our living room with a very unique "vibe". We wanted bold colors, but not brash. We wanted it to have character, but we didn't want it to be gaudy. We wanted character, but not kitschy. After sending Pinterest boards back and forth to each other, Tanisha was able to zero in on the aesthetic that we were looking for. After a few back and forths, I remember she sent us a Pinterest board and she said, "let me guess: you like this set up, but you don't like this piece because it's too loud. But you like the rest of it, right?" It's like she was in our head! Tanisha and Denise made this whole process fun! They challenged us to be creative, but reeled us in when what we wanted probably wouldn't have worked out as nice as we would have thought. They provided the perfect balance =) Their team put together a few 3D renderings, and completely nailed it. Then they started sourcing all the pieces that would become our new living room. It was a complex job, with some pieces coming from as far as Egypt! With a job this big, and the political climate being what it is (tariffs), we expected hiccups along the way. Their team informed us of the delays as they happened, and we felt up to date the whole time. We had different contractors come and help with the project, some for flooring, others for painting and tiles, another for wallpaper. Denise helped us manage the different contractors, invoices, and visited the job site several times to make sure everything was done well and held up to the strictest standards. Me and my wife both work, and Tanisha and Denise were SUPER flexible and patient with our availability. We are so thankful they were able to work within the confines of our busy schedule. We never felt rushed, and they still managed to keep us on track and within our budget. I could not recommend them enough! We will definitely be using them again, once we save up enough money for our next project ;)”

She helped with the layout and guided us through cabinet, tile, and decor selections, creating a kitchen that’s both functional and beautiful. “Cynthia Bennett & Associates was the design/build firm we selected to remodel our home. We did a gut-rehab of the 2nd floor to create a Jack-and-Jill configuration for our kids’ bedrooms, to bring the laundry room upstairs, and to add an additional bathroom (creating a primary bedroom suite). On the first floor, we added onto the back of the house to create a new (substantially larger) kitchen. We were delighted with the work and the result. We’d recommend Cynthia Bennett & Associates (CBA) to anyone looking for a design/build firm. Our house is in a historic area, with strict approval rules by the local historic preservation board. During the design process, CBA was great about flagging (and finding creative workarounds) for issues that might trigger rejections or additional review time from the board. Making these smart design choices during the design phase streamlined our approval and permitting process. During the build phase, they were communicative and thorough. They documented every step of the process with photographs and paperwork. They handled discussions about fixes and changes fairly and promptly. They helped us find the finishing elements (tile, stone, fixtures, etc) that achieved the look we wanted while staying within our budget. It was a long project (nearly 11 months). In the wrong hands, it could have easily turned into a nightmare. But CBA was definitely the right choice. And now we are living in our dream home.
