“Susan Feffer a has a special talent with interior decorating. I would recommend her to my family and dearest friends. She has transformed two rooms in my home that I not only love, but find myself wanting to go spend most of my days enjoying! Susan has a clean colorful flare that my whole family has come to love!! I will continue to work with Susan on the other rooms in our home that could benefit her fabulous touch! She is a true authentic stylist that is truly talented and a joy to work with on our home in Kensington, Maryland.”

“Haus Interior Design is amazing! Remodeling is a stressful process but Kirsten Kaplan kept us sane! Not only does she have an amazing eye for design detail, but she worked extremely well with our subcontractors making sure our remodel timeline and expectations were met. We did a full kitchen renovation and Kirsten was instrumental in helping us choose everything from the hardwood floors to the cabinet hardware. Not only was she able to find us some amazing grasscloth for a fabulous focal wall, she knew the right people to call for a flawless install. The result is one amazing kitchen!”
Lily Z Designs

Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsSeptember 8, 2021
“We have worked with Lily and her team for two homes and are so thankful for her work. Lily is excellent at communicating the process and timelines. She works collaboratively, is responsive and listens to all of my ideas, helping me weed out the not so great ideas. The end product and look of a space is always beautiful, practical and perfectly executed. She’s great at finding ways to utilize space efficiently and selecting beautiful fabrics and lighting. I highly recommend.”
Kim Johnson Designs, LLC
Kids Bedroom Designers in Washington D.C.
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsJanuary 17, 2014
“I have worked with Kim on two renovations; a kitchen and a hall bath. In both cases, Kim has been an enormous help. She knows the right people for the job, has great ideas and great imagination, and has the wisdom and tact to gently nudge me into another direction when I come up with some bone-headed idea that cannot possibly work. She's a joy to work with, and I'll probably be calling her again in the future.”

“Kimberly helped us select art for our apartment. She has a very good eye and is well connected to artists and galleries. She was extremely respectful of our taste and preferences and never pushy. She was very prompt and provided us with many options. She also introduced me to her framer and hung the art for us. She is a pleasure to work with.”
Jefferson Street Designs

“We hired Jefferson Street Designs to redesign bedrooms for our tweens. Rather than simply imposing her vision and ideas on the kids, Cindy took the time to get to know them. The final room designs truly reflected their individual personalities. Upon seeing her new room for the first time my daughter excitedly said, “Ms. Cindy, it’s like you went into my imagination and brought it to life in my room!” We are looking forward to working again with Jefferson Street Designs when we renovate our entire house early next year.”

“I can't say enough positive things about my experience working with Sandra and Ella Scott Design. Sandra is a practical visionary--her design instincts are impeccable, and her recommendations are grounded in the practicalities of making space usable and hospitable. Sandra was accommodating of our aesthetic, our timeline, and our budget, and she and Marci made the logistics of furnishing an entire house a piece of cake. We are very appreciative to them and hope that you have an opportunity to work with them, as well.”

Interior Style by Marisa Moore
Kids Bedroom Designers in Washington D.C.
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsSeptember 21, 2013
“We have worked with Marisa for over a year on the remodel of our basement. We highly recommend her! We are probably unique clients because we did a lot of the work ourselves. Marisa was patient with us, worked at our pace, and was very responsive to our requests and questions during the remodel process. Our work with Marisa started by hiring her to help us design the space - entry way, living room, kids play area, exercise room, laundry room, guest room - including tearing down and building new walls. She provided a thorough lay out and design recommendations, including two great built-in shelving units and a new tiled gas fireplace. Her color, fabric, carpet, tile choices were spot-on. When furniture items were outside our budget range, she came up with good lower cost alternatives. And she always has recommendations for contractors or stores to meet our needs. Marisa is fabulous - her expertise is well worth the cost!”
LIFE Interiors by Khadijah Ali
Kids Bedroom Designers in Washington D.C.
Average rating: 5 out of 5 starsAugust 14, 2020
“First, I would strongly suggest working with a designer, period. Using a designer provides you with an objectivity, assistance with vendors, lower cost substitutes, discounts and a finished look that a trained designer can provide. Why Khadijah? In addition to all of the above, she is a skilled communicator (listener/interpreter). As such, she can quickly translate the client’s subjective values, aesthetic into concrete designs. Secondly, she is easy to work with. Her good people skills are particularly important in dealing with couples who bring their own communication style and differences into the conversation. Thus, KA is particularly skilled at getting to the root of differences and developing actionable solutions. Finally, she respects the client’s basic aesthetic values while gently exploring the space at the outer edge of their comfort zone. The effect is that you walk into the room and it feels right but not something you could have done yourself.”
