How does an ordained Catholic priest transform himself into a highly sought after home designer? Ask Rick Doten – a Man of the Cloth, in more ways than one. In his early 20s, Doten entered St. John's Seminary. “I cherish my years as a priest. But there were too few color choices.” So he opened his own very successful special events company. Rick now turns his clever eye towards designing home interiors and exteriors for tony residences throughout the L.A. area. He creates Technicolor living environments for even the most die-hard of chromophobes that fall nothing short of a Divine Intervention.
Design for homes inside and out; color coaching; rearranging what exists; also make a mean "Eggs in the Hole" for breakfast!

Rick acted not only as my designer but also as project manager for the entire project. He is able to be creative and intuitive while still being definitive and concrete. Communication skills are excellent. I will gladly work with Rick on another project. Designer: Rick is a creative genius. He was able to take my random ideas, comments and some scraps of pictures and he made my yard a reality that reflected the ideas as well as my personality. The finished project is so much more than I had envisioned. Project manager: Rick coordinated various vendors, artists and construction schedules. He is able to blend timelines, work order changes and challenging conditions.
