ACCENT - Design and Interiors

Marosi's eye for colors is amazing. Marosi shared several color palette's with my husband and I that we would have never thought of using. Because we liked them all it was very difficult to choose one for our living room. Ultimately we did decide and we absolutely love it. Additionally, Marosi worked diligently to find a variety of furniture pieces that would compliment our 1926 period home. Marosi also managed our kitchen and laundry room remodel. She was always accessible and available and did a great job on recommending a wonderful general contractor. This was the first experience my husband and I had relative to a remodel. We heard horror stories from friends who had previously gone through a remodel but I can say having been through it now, I believe Marosi was the difference maker in ours.

Marosi was professional and always kept communications coming. Her illustrations offered multiple options for color, furniture selection and placement. These visuals definitely expedited shopping and gave us a starting point. Marosi guided us in blending the color and flow between the living room (that leaned more masculine and modern) with the adjoining home office ( definitely softer and more feminine) She made the rooms harmonious. Marosi guided but never forced anything that we were not comfortable with. We used many of her product selections and she often helped us get discounts on furniture and rugs. My work with Marosi White began with my Mother's heirloom dining room chairs. Because I was so pleased and happy with her fabric selection and the workmanship, my list of projects grew to include bar stools and accent pillows. Accent Design and Interiors was wonderful! My husband and I have two small children and both work. Therefore we did not have a lot of time to invest into this project ourselves. Marosi is wonderful with communication and flexible with scheduling. My husband and I hired Accent Design and Interiors to advise us on the reupholster of our Marge Carson design sofa. From start to finish, Marosi White, the owner, was totally professional. She visited our home to be able to suggest fabrics that complimented our decor and she listened to us to fulfill our wishes. We didn't have to make changes once the fabrics were decided as she was spot on with what we liked. The prices, the workmanship of her contractors and the timeliness of the job were all excellent. After a house fire on xmas eve 2014 that required a total rebuild ... I pondered making ALL the selections myself, my friends all said this is easy. But I thought maybe not, too many choices too many chances to make a mistakes, that unlike shoes I would have live with I consulted a design professional. Well actually I called the Design Institute and yelled HELP!!! Marsoi responded and she said would be glad to help. When she asked me what did I want, I thought of how I picked my clothes and told her Casual Elegance. From the spiced wood bamboo flooring, the gray quartz counters, the beautiful color palette through out our home, or the beautiful exterior, that reminds me of a House on a Cliff on the Atlantic ocean each time I turn into my drive, She took care of every thing. I even went to Boston for a holiday while the exterior of our home was being painted . I can say that our house fits us like a suit of clothes Beautiful Casual Elegant. All services delivered on time, within budget, a design professionalism with talent and heart who helped to save my sanity and give me a beautiful home. Thank you again. Overall, we very much enjoyed working with Marosi, owner of ACCENT, and her team; we could not have asked for a harder working and more collaborative and knowledgeable group of interior designers to work with on this project (read below for more details). We can't wait to work with Marosi again on future projects! Knowledge: Marosi very clearly possesses a deep knowledge and understanding of interior design. Everything from the aesthetic (ex: "these colors work well together") to the practical (ex: "the bathroom vanity needs to be X inches deep for maximum comfort and usability"). Experience: While working with Marosi, it was very clear that she is a result of many years of experience. When handling emergency/urgent situations she remained calm, when choosing products she knew what seemed to work well and what didn't, and she knew what was worth spending your money on and what was not. All traits that can really only be earned/gained by experience. We never felt that she was imposing her previous experiences with clients on us (wanting our project to look like theirs or expecting us to act like them) but rather seemed to be enjoying and looking forward to being a part of our project and making it a new part of her own experience as an interior designer. Attitude: Always, and I mean always, Marosi and her team had wonderful attitudes. They were constantly positive, excited to collaborate, cool under the stresses of a tight time frame, and happy to answer our practically non-stop questions. For our project they were required to travel and communicate mostly electronically with us - two aspects which I am sure did not make their jobs any easier - and yet we never saw these hardships reflected in their attitudes. Ability to Meet Deadlines: This project, had an incredibly tight time frame. From initial meeting to final day, there was hardly any time to breath (and there was certainly no time for error or delays). Marosi never once failed to meed a deadline and kept everything in her control running smoothly. Budgets: In addition to an incredibly tight time frame, Marosi was also working with an incredibly tight budget - and she could not have done a better job in this regard. She initially created 3 different budget proposals and what each budget would allow us to do and then worked with us to create a hybrid budget. Throughout the project, she did extensive research to find us the best product within our constraints, she and her team found and coordinated excellent deals with vendors, and she coordinated budget checks with us at different stages of the project. She kept detailed records of spending, provided us with all the receipts, all purchased items were accounted for, and ultimately she came in on budget (it may have even been a little under). In summation, it was a truly wonderful experience working with ACCENT. We handed Marosi and her team a challenging project: a property in need of some serious updating, a commercial lodging property that needed to withstand wear and tear but also needed to feel inviting and comfortable, and a very tight time frame and budget. From day one to the very end (even past the formal completion of the project), Marosi was an invaluable professional resource and truly wonderful person to work with. We are thrilled with the outcome of our project and love that all her hard work and hours spent collaborating with us are reflected in our property.
