I work for one of the most energy efficient builders in the US. Walking homes with Alice and listening to her ideas of how she can integrate colors, quality products and furnishings that work in a space made to perform at he highest level was very refreshing. Alice has worked on the interior design of my current home and on the one prior to it. My only regret is that she did not to the work on all the homes I've lived in over the many years. She assured me at the start that she would both listen to and hear my needs, wants, likes and dislikes, and then she did exactly that. Sometimes she did tell me things I just didn't care to hear and sometimes pushed me outside my comfort zone a little (no easy task). In the end she was always spot on and the final product each time are homes that I take full credit for creating. Of course friends any family just give me "that look" and I quickly pass around Alice's contact information.

Alice is an amazing designer. My design aesthetic is more lux rustic (think Restoration Hardware, Arhaus meets Fixer Upper). I thought this might be a problem because Alice's pics seemed to lean contemporary or modern. I quickly learned that there is nothing Alice can't do. She worked with our architects to help with the layout of our addition. She helped us pick the stone and stucco color of our home. I showed her a paint color that I liked, and she picked a family of paint colors for every room in our house. She connected us to an artist to paint our dining room ceiling in lusterstone technique. She connected us to an upholstery designer and helped us pick the fabric for our window treatment and bench cushion. Alice helped us pick our carpet and tiles. She connected us to a retail furniture store and helped us pick some of our furniture. She pointed us to designs that we would have never looked at on our own and for that we are grateful. She is all around awesome!!

I have used Alice for many projects and she is always excellent, she knows her materials and can work easily within any budget. She does work for residential housing, commercial space, hospitality, etc. She works quickly and at times has even worked cross country with us on design. She follows up with contractors and furniture delivery staff and everything else so that nothing gets lost and there are no problems on the job.

Having worked with other designers in DC and Chicago, I can say that Alice Sydney is by far the easiest and most conscientious designer I have ever worked with. She is always on top of your schedule and contacts the vendors and delivery companies before the expected delivery date to be sure everything will be on time. She is readily available by email or text, even when traveling. She has excellent contacts for specific needs or problems and willingly shares them with you. Overall, I give her high marks in every facet of her work.

Alice helped us stage our house so it would sell quickly...and she was great at it. Her judgment was correct, her sense of what would appeal to buyers excellent and her manner was firm but not overbearing. She was great to work with. We then asked her to help us select and place furniture in our new apartment. She has superb taste, understood quickly what we could live with, and made great suggestions for pieces, colors and arrangements. In fact, we had her lay out the furniture in our largest rooms before we even moved in! She came after everything was installed, moved a few pieces, and it made the place perfect! We would hire her in a heartbeat to do it again.

Alice is a terrific all-around designer. She has a great eye for contemporary and transitional settings, and is an absolute pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend her.

Working with Alice was a great experience. She quickly got a sense of my tastes, needs, and budget, and we worked through a number of different options together for several rooms. In the end, her work produced beautiful, functional, and comfortable spaces that I'm thrilled to have in my home.

Alice was truly a delight to work with. She helped me decorate my Florida house 3 years ago when we purchased the home. This last year we decided to add on to the home, and she helped me with every detail! Lighting, hardware, sinks, tubs, tile, toilets, carpet, wall color......I mean EVERYTHING. She listens to what her client wants and was right on with most every choice. On the rare occasion that I did not love what she picked, she was never offended and helped me find exactly what worked for me. I would highly recommend her!

Alice is simply the best! We worked on an addition and renovation to our historic house. Our style is eclectic ranging from modern, mid-century and transitional. How she selected additional furniture, rugs, lighting, fabric and colors for multiple rooms that blend beautifully with our existing furniture and décor is amazing. All spaces are warm and inviting. She’s absolutely talented. We’ve received many compliments from friends, family and architects. We were so pleased with Alice’s work that we hired her to work on our newly constructed modern beach house. Alice is experienced in construction as well as interior design. She made suggestions to add and move windows and light fixtures, which enhanced lighting and added symmetry to different spaces. She selected paint colors for the entire house, furniture, fabric and pillows-- all were spot on. She’s exactly what we needed on both projects! We look forward to working with Alice on all our future house projects.

I've never worked with a designer who could tell me exactly what I wanted and exactly what I needed ... and be right! Alice embraces you and your projects like you were her family. She knows what's available among manufacturers, and she offers the best and most economical solution -- not the most expensive. She won't do what's easiest. She'll do whatever it takes to accomplish your goals. Alice's focus is always her client, and she makes herself available over phone and email for anything from consultations to picture sharing. What I love about Alice the most is her creative spirit and relentlessness, but most importantly, I trust her. I will use Alice for all of my future interior design decisions.
