Amber Scott Design

My wife and I hired Amber earlier this year to help us design the layout and decor for our new house and we couldn't be happier with the results. She and Victoria, her junior designer, solved some tricky space issues and came up with a design that's unique, interesting, and perfectly adapted for our lifestyle. We get compliments from everyone that comes over. I would absolutely recommend Amber (and Victoria) to anyone.

Amber is so talented, a pleasure to work with, and highly recommended should you need assistance with interior design and choosing color palates for your home. We bought a house at the beginning of the COVID pandemic in 2020, and the house desperately needed a paint update and some minor cosmetic touch-ups (so we thought). I received her name from a friend of mine, who was also working with her. Amber met with me a few times to understand my style and the look I was trying to achieve. She spent considerable time ensuring the new paint scheme/palate worked well together, and that the atmosphere while moving throughout the house was consistent and flowed. In a time of uncertainty, she was able to secure contractors to do the work we needed and started right away. It took nearly a year to complete everything we wanted to do (paint, renovate master bedroom and master bathroom). Eventually we ended up completely renovating the kitchen mid-project and she worked with our spontaneity and knew exactly how to approach it mid-project.. Amber acted as a designer, a consultant, and project manager at times. She was always ensuring the crews followed through with the paint schedules and design and if they made a mistake or something needed touching up, she made sure they fixed it. In the end, what she did with our house was pure magic and it almost feels like we are in a totally new house even though it was built in the late 1800's!. Our "meilleure chambre" is our Whiskey Room, a moody room dressed from head to toe in black. I thought Amber might think I was crazy for wanting to paint a room in black, and give it a sort of swanky, speakeasy vibe, but she was all for it, even excited, and helped us choose the perfect paint color and furniture style for the desired effect we wanted in the room. I can't impress enough her professionalism and knowledge and abilities.

I am thrilled with my newly decorated Savannah townhouse! Amber brought my vague ideas together with a vision that is so beautiful. And it works! My space is small, but every piece of furniture fits perfectly…and often has more than one purpose. Part of Amber’s special gift is her incredible eye for color. The paints for the walls that she helped me select capture the beauty of the light that filters in at various times of the day. She listened carefully to my thoughts and was able to bring my townhouse to a new level.

I initially hired Amber as a color consultant for my home renovation. During that process I realized the level of integrity and expertise she brings to her work, and how refined her eye was for color and design themes. She quickly grew beyond color consultancy and came on as our interior designer; she also quickly became my friend. Amber is a unique and highly talented professional. She applies an uncanny level of care and attention to detail on decisions big or small. As a result, she saved me time, money, and helped me make way better decisions than I would have made on my own. She worked with me, patiently and collaboratively, to create a template for my home that feels *so right* and, in doing so, helped me understand in my core what that aesthetic feels like. This energy makes it so easy to grow and evolve the things in your home as there is need to. I am grateful for her work and for her friendship. Anyone would be quite lucky to have her brilliance grace their project.

Amber is the consummate professional. No detail is overlooked. She is thoughtful about function and the way a particular space will best suit the client’s needs. I have had the pleasure of working with her on numerous projects and the results are always outstanding!
