Kate is amazing, we cannot recommend her highly enough. We had some very rough ideas for our living room and bedroom redesign but no idea how to implement them. Kate took the time to really get to know our styles and what we like and don’t like, then proposed designs we never could have come up with on our own but that suited our needs and tastes perfectly. The results are stunning and (no small feat) within our budget! She also saved us a ton with trade discounts. We are thrilled, we will definitely work with Kate again!

Working with Kate was a distinct pleasure from start to finish. She is professional but warm, knowledgeable, creative, efficient, and highly competent. Three things that really stood out for me: (1) She took the time to get to know me and my style (and my kids and their styles) and delivered a proposal that absolutely met everything we needed and wanted. (2) When we discussed specifics of her proposal, and we had a handful of new suggestions, she listened carefully and delivered a revision that was even better. And (3) where we finished had some truly creative, fun elements that I never could have found on my own. I felt like she found the perfect balance between letting me express myself with my ideas and her bringing her advice and expertise to arrive at a design that delights us every day.

Kate was an absolute joy to work with, and I’ve recommended her to several people. As someone with a fair idea of what I wanted, I was skeptical about hiring design services for my home. What initially attracted me to Kate’s services was the prospect of her design fees being partially offset by her discounts. However, I realized very early on in the process, the discounts paled in comparison to the actual services she provided. From measuring appointments, to style definition, to a kitchen and living room layout that included detailed schematic drawings to give to my contractor. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about the experience I had with Ampersand Interiors. I feel scared that I almost didn't hire Kate!

Working with Kate was amazing. She transformed the reception space of our martial arts gym into a chic, modern, welcoming business front. Now whenever people walk by on the street they can't help but peek inside! During the project, she had great communication and a fast turnaround time. We will definitely work with her again on future projects.

My partner and I recently worked with Kate to do a total overhaul of our living room, including new furniture, new colors, and a new fireplace design. Working with Kate was a great experience—so much so, that we’ve hired her for multiple projects. Both were large-scale commercial projects: The first was to create a design to accompany a sweeping rebrand, and the second was the complete, ground-up design of a 6,000-sqft coworking office. She worked with a divergent group of stakeholders—architects, city officials, builders—with ease, grace, and humor.
