We decided to finish our walkout basement a few years ago and we were put in touch with Amy Carman Design by our realtor. We planned on using Amy for the design phase only, but were so impressed by her that we decided to use her as our general contractor for the entire project. Good decision. Amy's subcontractors were excellent and professional and we were very comfortable having everyone in the house for the duration of the project. She also provided a detailed schedule, which was met to the best of her ability. The basement gets rave reviews when people come to the house. I know it wouldn't have turned out as beautifully without Amy's guidance. We recently used Amy Carman Design for a living room renovation and that has turned out great as well. She has added some talented members to her team recently, which makes her whole operation run more efficiently.

Going from a 1920's bungalow full of beautiful craftsmanship and details to a generic, 15 year old colonial was a big change for us. However, the new home had great views and we knew Amy would be able to transform it into something we loved. She managed to incorporate every element that we wanted and so much more. The entire project was handled very professionally and we trusted Amy implicitly on every step. Her vision for the final product was amazing and we were so thankful to have someone this talented give us such a beautiful home for our family!

How much did we enjoy working with Amy Carman? We did three separate projects with her over a 3-year period, and hope to work with her again in the near future. Amy has a clairvoyant ability to understand the desires and style of her client and respond with creative design options. She brought a unique sensibility to each project, transforming our initial ideas into something more beautiful, elegant, and functional than we imagined possible. Once we'd agreed on the designs, she managed the projects from start to finish, delivering spectacular results on schedule and on budget. We have recommended her to everyone we know with a design project, and those lucky enough to have engaged her services have been similarly enthusiastic about the results.

Amy Carman and her team are amazing. My husband and I built our house and Amy was with us every step of the way. She and her team not only know the interior design world but they understand what goes into constructing and the details necessary to get the job done right! They were always professional, responsive and helped narrow down the many choices involved. I still work with Amy and her team and recommend them whenever I can.

Amy Carman and her team are fabulous! Creative, unique, customer centric, timely, thoughtful, sticks to a budget (although there are always options!) and their attention to detail is amazing! Can not say enough about working with Amy and her team. I have used various decorators throughout my house and Amy will now be my one and only decorator!

Our experience with Amy Carman Design was exceptional. Amy and her staff were always professional and brought a warm and caring attitude to each encounter. They provided the timeless and classic look we wanted, while giving us fresh and consistent ideas. Their honest feedback was always appreciated as home renovation can be overwhelming to the homeowner. They also worked very well with our general contractor and all subcontractors. In fact, several subcontractors commented how much easier their job was as a result of Amy's organization and attention to detail. She was able to create CAD drawings of various elevations to aide in the design process. We did a complete home remodel and absolutely love the finished product. We would highly recommend Amy Carman Design without hesitation.

We worked with Amy on a kitchen remodel in our 1937 Tudor home. We had seen her work in several publications, and she had done design and remodeling work in a couple of our friends' homes (to rave reviews). Of course the project turned out beautifully. We wanted the remodel to be sensitive to the period and style of the home, but still incorporate features that made the space functional, beautiful, and family-friendly. Amy balanced those needs perfectly. The kitchen looks like it was meant for the house, and Amy even thought to incorporate some of the original kitchen trim and design features. Everyone who sees the kitchen remarks first on how lovely it is, and second how the classic design looks completely original to the house. We're thrilled with our new kitchen, and we greatly enjoyed working with Amy. She was easy to reach, delightful to work with, willing to stop by to check on progress or material choices, and her ideas always took us in a direction that made the project stand out. We also appreciated her wide knowledge of materials and vendors; this was our first big remodeling project, and she made the process very smooth for us--giving us a lot of options and ideas without making it overwhelming. Working with her was such a collaborative and creative experience. She is incredibly talented, and we feel lucky to have found her and worked with her.
