My wife and I are pleased to recommend Angelika most highly. We confronted her with an unusual challenge: How to integrate selected traditional and transitional furnishings and artwork from two large apartments, while updating the look of our pre-war home with a mix of new furnishings and decorative accessories plus several reupholstering jobs. The situation was most challenging in the living room because the space was dominated by a huge and colorful Persian rug plus a voluminous antique, both of which we love and preferred to keep. We had been told by several highly regarded designers we had interviewed previously that the rug and the antique in that living room were in the way of a successful redecoration and thus “had to go.” But then we met Angelika, and she didn’t think ours was a case of “Mission Impossible.” She rose to the challenge with open-mindedness, imagination, flexibility and sensitivity to art, space and design. She found ways to mix, match and move around existing furnishings, art and fixtures while guiding us to new pieces, exquisite fabrics and excellent suppliers. The artwork was displayed in a manner such that connections were made within each room and also from one room to the next – a visually stunning achievement. The result is a beautiful, space-efficient, and thematically coherent new whole. Congratulations, Angelika!

Angelika did an excellent job with the full construction and interior design of our medical office. She was able to create a space that our patients and staff have complimented multiple times as a place of relaxation and thoughtfulness. In particular I was impressed with her: 1) ability to interact with contractors, electricians, and assemblers. 2) ability to promptly choose furniture/artwork and choose with ease where to place them. 3) extremely quick communication, I was able to reach her at all times. 4) availability to get the job done at a time crunch. 5) ability to draw the blueprints to create a custom reception desk and entryway sign. 6) ability to provide samples of paint, wood, flooring etc to allow me to visualize the space. 7) facilitate/schedule deliveries and movement of furniture into the space. She helped us furnish and renovate our new apartment, which was a months long project. Working with Angelika has been a dream come true. I was so anxious about my project until I met her after a glowing recommendation from a friend. Trained as an architect, she has a sharp eye for spatial relations and balance (room flow, scale, etc.). Her design skills are as equally on target. She understood my transitional - but not fussy - style with an emphasis on rich, textured fabrics from the start. Even though her portfolio emphasized mostly more contemporary designs, her first round of fabric, carpet and wallpaper samples were exactly what I wanted and needed. I have worked with many designers and she is the only one who got it right the first time. She took the time to explore my style rather than forcing me into a preconceived box or doing a new, trendy design. She can do ANY style because she really listens to what the client is trying to achieve. She is also incredibly proactive and organized and kept the project on track. It was also very helpful that she has been in the business a long time and knew exactly what showrooms carried materials and objects that would work for this project so that no time was wasted running around. A true and talented professional on every level, she brings a lot to the table. I won't work with anyone else on future projects.

We had a very positive experience with Angelika. We moved into an apartment in a co-op building 1 month before the pandemic changed everything. She helped navigate us through the design process of updating our apartment, and delivered an amazing finished product despite the constraints imposed by COVID-19, like limitations on work in the building, delayed production by furniture makers, and postponed delivery of fixtures/furniture/art. She is very professional, thoughtful, and responsive. And she has a great eye for design. We’ve had a limited number of visitors over the last year, but each has commented on how great our place looks and we give Angelika all the credit for that. We would definitely recommend her design services to our friends.

We worked with Angelika to decorate our offices in the financial district in lower Manhattan. We had both a tight time frame and a tight budget. Angelika had a great vision for the space and quickly keyed in on the aesthetic we were looking for. She prepared the layout, selected furnishings and artwork, and implemented the design. We are very happy with the final product – the space is great to work in and the overall look has the clean lines we were looking for. I have had the pleasure of working with Angelika for over 10 years on quite a few of her projects. When I gut-renovated my 1860's brownstone apartment in Brooklyn Heights, I had a very specific design concept and palette in mind; especially for the high-ceilinged kitchen and bathroom. In order to create the look and feel of a Tuscan farmhouse kitchen in a relatively small angled space, and then the look and feel of an ancient Roman bath in the bathroom, I depended on tiles, textures, colors and combinations to fulfill the design. Like most first-time renovators of historic space, I knew what I wanted but not how to shop for it and pull it all together. I also needed my tile designer on hand for delivery to work with my contractor on installation. Angelika Wrzesinska, head of Angelika Design Studio in New York, fulfilled all 3 roles beyond my expectations. Why? Because: 1. She could interpret my design concept into materials and knew how far she could experiment with the concept. balancing the specifics of the brief with a sense of aesthetic exploration; 2. She knew where to shop, so that all I had to do was meet her at the design outlets of choice where she laid out on the floor samples for me to select and ways to integrate the tiles into a complete floor, bathtub and wall designs...either Tuscan or Roman Antique. She also took her cues from lighting fixtures I had previously purchased that created a centerpiece for each room. 3. Her experience with vendors gave her instant access to inventory; fast ordering and delivery; and discounts. 4. Her preciseness assured quality control upon delivery and she stayed for much of the tile setting, to make sure that the installation fulfilled the design in every detail. 5. She completed the design with a color palette of paint, beyond the kitchen and bathroom, throughout the apartment that created a flow from one different space to the next that felt comfortable, organic and that combined country rustic with quiet urban elegance. Not easy. As someone who has a fairly developed aesthetic of his own, and who like Angelika had lived in Europe for many years, I found that I still needed a designer, buyer and installation consultant to achieve the tile-based concept I had in mind. I have engaged Angelika in several projects over the years, including kitchen and bathroom design and other small projects. Have always been impressed by her creativeness and flexibility of design ideas. If you have a sense of what you want (or what you don't want), but need someone to bring it to life or find the right look for you (I've had both experiences with her), Angelika is an excellent designer. She won't hesitate to suggest directions you may not have thought of, but will always return to what you want/what works for you. On my kitchen I knew what I wanted structurally and high level look, but was struggling with completing the concept. She blended things that I never thought could have worked together -- until she laid them out for me to see. It has become a centerpiece of the apartment.

Angelika has great ideas and resources for interior design - . she knows all the best places and has access to them as well . It was more of a fun experience working with her than actual work, and i really enjoyed it. Even more importantly than the process , of course, is the final result . I can honestly say that her vision of an open space really helped me achieve the results i was looking for. It is quite daunting looking at an empty space and not knowing where to begin. She removed these fears after discussing stylistic preferences and made it a fun endeavor instead. She was awesome !
