About Us

To be truly beautiful, Annie O'Carroll believes that a space must reflect proportion, balance and harmony. Good design is timeless; it doesn't go out of style, and it must be both luxurious and comfortable. Above all, design is a reflection of personality, and - like fashion - it must "fit". Whether new construction, remodels, hospitality, or spa design, our involvement begins with floor plans and a collaborative vision of the finished product; it concludes with the furnishings. Because interior design is a continuously evolving process, we team with the client, the architect, and the builder - typically, well before construction begins. Some of our projects include: the New Mexico Governor's Mansion, Las Campanas Spa and its new family-friendly wing, Santa Fe's Hilton Hotel, and Las Campanas Club Casitas. These are joined by our many residential projects in Santa Fe, New Mexico, San Francisco and San Jose, in California. We have the capabilities to successfully execute projects such as these, although we also enjoy the fun of furnishing a single room or the challenge of redesigning a kitchen. Annie let us understand the potential of the house we were interested in purchasing, then brought that vision to fruition. After listening to our needs and desires, she created a comfortable, gracious environment well-suited to our lifestyle. She did all this within budget and on time. She’s also fun.

Annie O'Carroll is an excellent interior designer. She brings her professionalism, knowledge and artistic ability to every aspect of her work. She collaborates with her clients beautifully and almost effortlessly brings your desires to fruition. Which is an art form in and of itself.

We've used Annie for a number of design projects over the last two decades, and we've been delighted with the results in every case. From furniture selection and space planning when we first moved in (1998), to a master bath renovation (2009), to a family room/office redo (2012), to paint selections for our guest house interior/exterior (2016), her design sense has always been spot-on. Not only does she have a superior grasp of design, and color, but - most importantly - she listens. She transformed our spaces, giving us precisely what we wanted - and, in some cases - what we didn't even know we wanted! Her creative suggestions were so helpful. Overall, our experience was remarkable, and we are currently discussing an additional project. We couldn't be happier with her professionalism, the timeliness of her work, and the results!

Annie O'Carroll is a joy to work with! She helped my wife and me decorate a new, modern house in Santa Fe. The house won multiple awards on the Santa Fe Parade of Homes, and was especially memorable because of her creative use of color throughout -- magenta, fuchsia, brilliant yellow, and saturated ochre. We like to say that Annie helped us build and decorate a house we didn't even know we wanted -- until she pointed the way. Her inspiration led us to a decorating plan that far exceeded our wildest expectations. She worked with us to control costs and met every deadline. Simply put, she is the best. We awaken every day surrounded by and thankful for Annie's talents.

Annie O'Carroll worked with us on our new construction home in Santa Fe, New Mexico in two ways: with our contractor on the finishes, and with to choose furniture and other touches. She is outstanding, and we loved working with her from start to finish. She listened to our needs, she has great instincts, is paying attention to current trends without being influenced by fads that won't last, and she sees what each house needs. Her support staff is also fantastic and efficient. We give her this highest recommendation.

We hired Annie O'Carroll to be the designer for our home renovation based on her reputation, work ethic and superior design skills. We were amazed with the final project! Annie and her team did an amazing job - from the kitchen to the bathrooms to picking furniture pieces, finishings, rugs, fixtures, and even lighting throughout the whole house. Annie always knew what to do and what we wanted even when we couldn't explain it - she is a great listener and knows how to take ideas from the drawing board and bring them to life in any space she's working on. She is an excellent designer and has a great gift for creativity and color! I highly recommend Annie O'Carroll whether it be to design a renovation project or a new build project! Annie is the best!

Annie is an insightful designer who understands the process of selecting architectural finishes as intimately as she does fabric and furniture choices. Because of her extensive experience guiding her clients through the myriad decisions required in new construction, she is an asset to any construction team. Although Annie loves being involved in the complete process, she also excels in furniture layout, fabric selection and color pallets. As a colleague for twenty years, I always look forward to working with Annie and her team. They are professional, motivated, very creative and a joy to work with.

I worked with Annie on my new vacation home from the ground up. She is knowledgeable, listens to what the client wants and is very personable and easy to work with. She has worked in the Santa Fe area for years but travels to California often and is always looking for new ideas and items to add to her work. I will continue to use her services as my new home gets furnished.

Commented: Kitchen remodelingI love it too! It's a zinc backsplash with embossing details. The artist can do any design you can imagine. The client didn't want grout lines and this was our solution. Thanks for asking. Annie
