Apt Jeanie to the rescue! We were looking to elevate the aesthetic in our apt by reducing clutter, re-positioning existing furniture, and most importantly, vetting our artwork and re-arranging it throughout our UWS duplex. With Jeanie's astute eye, and exploration of what was most important to us, she organized all of our artwork and decided on placement where we could enjoy our favorite pieces and have a more cohesive visual look to our home. My husband and I live and work in our medium-size studio apartment—and since we’ve been in the space for ages, our eyes had developed a habit of glazing over our many disorganized piles of stuff and miles of surface clutter. Jeanie and her team are amazing! They have helped me organize my home several times over the last 2 years and I am always so happy with the work they do. I've been in NYC going on three years & during this time I've lived in an apartment I haven't been completely happy with -- this was exacerbated even more-so during COVID. Jeanie is a miracle worker and organizational genius. She oversaw a chaotic move for us -- we were out of town and didn't know when we were closing until the very last minute -- and was able to pack up our old apartment and set up our new place so that it felt like home the moment we arrived. It is had to capture how lucky we feel to have found Jeanie. We decided to move apartments in the middle of the pandemic. We, a newly-married couple leaving an apartment cramped with clutter and with our wedding gifts stuffed into closet like a game of Tetris, had the idea to find an organizer to help with the move. Jeanie truly went above and beyond, but the main things she did were as follows: 1. In our old apartment, Jeanie spent hours with us helping decide what should come to the new apartment and what could be “released” (i.e. donated or thrown away). 2. Jeanie helped facilitate the move, connected us with incredible movers, set up a system in our old apartment to make packing and unpacking as smooth as possible, and even came on the moving day to the new apartment to orchestrate the movers and help decide where to put furniture. 3. Jeanie helped unpack and set up our new apartment. Not only were there no more boxes left in our new apartment within two days of the move, Jeanie even helped with hanging artwork and other touches that really made it feel like home. Jeanie also helped us devise ways to make the apartment more organized and functional, setting up organizational systems that now enable us to enjoy those wedding gifts rather than having them trapped in a cluttered closet. 4. Jeanie also brought design expertise, helping us pick new furniture, rugs, colors, etc. that would make for a gorgeous space. We also note that Jeanie is *not* someone who has a particular look or style that she imposes on her clients. Jeanie quickly learned what we like and what our vision was and helped make that a reality. Jeanie truly exceeded our wildest expectations and made our apartment not just a place we live, but a home. I hired Jeanie to do a long overdue apartment clearing out/organizing. I have a hard time getting rid of things and Jeanie was so helpful helping me 'let go' of things that were cluttering up my apartment and I was hanging onto for sentimental reasons but no longer needed. Loved Jeanie's candor, thoroughness, and vision. I really appreciated and was impressed by the fact that she showed up having researched me a little! She understood that I was a new mom and small business owner and really thought about me and my needs as organizational decisions were made throughout the day. It did not at all feel like one-size-fits-all solutions. She had ability to see my closet and belongings in a way I didn't already see them. That was important because I feel I CAN be organized but I was in a space where things had got out of control, so it was nice to feel like I didn't just have someone come and fold my clothes for me but to actually rethink the systems and make it more efficient. When talking to people I found that many designers were young and inexperienced which gave me pause. Additionally, many required or would focus on buying new items. To me, I wanted to first see what we could use. Jeanie and her team spent a day organizing everything and rearranging furniture to get a very different look than what I had. It has transformed the space. It was not inexpensive, but fair for her time. I also appreciated that when Jeanie was sourcing materials for me, she kept within my budget and did not try to up sell me at all (including finding area rugs for under $200!). apartmentjeanie was a pleasure to work with. We were contacted by Jeanie to help convert her client's old desk into a new kitchen table. The desk was comprised of a large single slab of redwood from the client's native West Coast that had been traveling with him for some time and held a good deal of sentimental value. Jeanie's vision of transforming the piece from a weathered desk showing it's age into a fresh contemporary display piece was a stroke that the client was quite excited about. Jeanie was the perfect client for us because she had a very clear vision of what the resulting piece of furniture should be. Apartment Jeanie definitely helped us begin to organize our home, which has a challenging layout. They walked through each room, suggesting ways we might reorganize and pieces of furniture we might purchase or dispose of to help us keep things flowing. The work is not cheap -- be prepared to set a budget and do not expect to micromanage. Occasionally, they bought items (nothing exorbitant) that we had not agreed upon, and slightly better communication would have been nice at times. But overall, they were mindful of our finances and did not make suggestions that were wasteful and they were responsive. Their work in our home, as well as their suggestions for upkeep,made a real difference. They also helped us initiate tasks and keep them moving.

The elves showed up early in the morning, and, by the time they were done, we could barely recognize our apartment. The apartment was picture-perfect and looked totally high end. Jeanie, is is one word... MAGIC! I live with my husband, my son and my pit bull in a one bedroom apartment. It was a long transition from my bachelor pad, to my mommy, wife reality. She is expensive, but after I wrote the check I felt it was possibly the best money I had spent in a long time. She really is a "Jeanie"... only she lives right here in NYC!!!!!

Jeanie and her team are incredible! I have photographed many of her projects and I am always amazed at the transformation in the spaces. The organization she creates is amazing and she has so many clever ideas for storing everything you can think of but in a stylish way. I can’t say enough good things about Jeanie Engelbach and her organizing skills. Our study looked like England after the Norman invasion. We couldn’t find anything. Jeanie and Cindy, the design director cut through all 700 books and all the clutter, rearranging and organizing and staging. Jeanie helped me decide what to keep and what to give up. I then went into the hospital for surgery and consequently had to stay in bed for weeks. I got so tired of looking at the same thing every day so while we were away for Thanksgiving the team rearranged everything in the living room and I mean everything including moving all the pictures. It looked like a new place. We were so happy with the results. Last week Jeanie and Cindy again came in and did their organizing tricks. Jeanie gave me file folder after file folder (we had folders that dated back to 1992) to shred. We ended giving 7 boxes of clothes, towels, quilts and several boxes of books and a chest of drawers to the Salvation Army. In addition, Jeanie and Cindy rearranged all the furniture and pictures in our guest apartment. I was amazed at what could be done to make the place look fresh and new. My husband and I were lucky to have Jeanie help us think about how to maximize our apartment space and use the space most efficiently. Jeanie was amazingly helpful at organizing an apartment's worth of closets and accessories for perhaps the two most disorganized people on earth. After I walked into one of Jeanie's transformed spaces I thought - wow! Any designer can transform a home but Jeanie seems to go further. Jeanie is amazing!!! She transformed my apartment from what looked like a boring Ethan Allen decored apartment to the fun and hip apartment of a 28 year old. She used all of the things I had but rearranged them in ways I would have never imagined on my own creating gorgeous decor our of my own things. Two of my favorite aspects are hanging all of my necklaces to create a wall of necklaces and my wall of handbags.
