Sarah has been instrumental in helping me update my main floor of my house. After a failed attempt to pick materials for another house, I had lost my confidence that I could do this project on my own. Sarah assured me she would be a great partner and guide me and be honest in all parts of the process. She was right! She is quick to make decisions and honest. I’ve enjoyed working with her and am sure we will continue to have a relationship moving forward for other projects.

Sarah researched and consulted with us on all aspects of our living and dining rooms, ensuring every detail was carefully considered. From selecting fabrics for a custom sectional and ottoman to choosing lamps, pillows, and end tables, she guided us expertly through the design process. We had a wonderful experience working with Sarah Hay, the founder of Astute Abode Design, on the exterior colors for our North Kitsap home. We have a large house that, although beautiful, has some awkwardness in its exterior design in the back. In the front, more than half of our facade has natural stone with predominantly warm tones. And to make things even more complicated, the original acrylic window frames are stark white... In spite of so many limiting elements, Sarah was able to come up with a great solution to our problem. The new color scheme compliments the peaceful atmosphere of our property and, at the same time, adds a touch of timeless sophistication to our slightly awkward house. Aside from having obvious creative talent, Sarah is a great listener and communicator, and will do her best to incorporate your personal preferences into the final product. Sarah helped me on my entire house with furniture, art, bookshelves, paint, etc. In my experience with her, Sarah was intelligent, timely, fun, and very relatable.
