We retained Vicki and Donna of At Home Design towards the end of 2018 to help update a new to us 1980 lake home for eventual full time living. Their enthusiasm and skill was so helpful and every recommendation was spot on from paint color to furnishings. We undertook revamping a fireplace and updating a visible stairway that helped bring our place so up to date. The dining room is now a jewel of a room with a stunning new chandelier and the open living area is warm and inviting. They were mindful of expenses and willing to keep looking if an item was too pricey or just not to our liking. A lovely experience all around.

They are nothing short of the perfect team to help you design your next home project! Having purchased a second home on Candlewood Isle and living over 2 hours away, I embarked on the daunting task of finding someone who I could rely on to help guide me on the remodeling of our somewhat dated and ordinary interior. I found Vicki and Donna right here on Houzz. I placed the call and by that afternoon I had received a call back from Donna and an appointment was set. Upon meeting them both I immediately felt confident that I had made the right choice. Throughout the months long project, and now, over one year later as we enjoy the look and feel of our new home, I think of them often with gratitude that I found them! As others have stated, they are the consummate professionals with years of experience, fresh ideas, and a fabulous array of resources to draw upon to help meet your every request and design fantasy. But best of all, they are genuinely nice and honest women who made managing this renovation from afar a truly seamless and absolutely enjoyable project! They listened to my vision to create a more rustic interior and gently guided me to consider options that brought our home to an entirely new level that would have never been possible without them. From the fabulous splash of color with the painted doors, to the remarkable use of texture and color on the cabinets and dining room ceiling (that was once a cold and drafty screened in porch!) the use of both brought life, warmth, and a modern rustic feel to the rooms. In the interest of cost, Vicki and Donna were mindful of budget, kept accurate accounting of time spent together, and were creative in repurposing existing items within the home such as windows and cabinets. If you are looking to redesign a room or your entire home, Vicki and Donna are your winning team!

Vicki and Donna are an exceptional team! In addition to being delightfully creative, the most important skill they bring to their design business is that they really listen. My renovated master bedroom, walk in closets and bath, exceeded my expectations. There are subtle references to my love of French things, without putting a giant fleur de lys on the ceiling. The colors are warm and comforting. Lighting is an afterthought for most people, but Vicki and Donna came up with some beautiful accents that really make the room perfect. They are also very respectful of budget. Would highly recommend this fantastic team of designers!

Vicki and Donna are not only excellent designers, in addition, they are truly nice people. We were on an accelerated schedule and they were able to accomplish our large project within our required time frame. They calmly and methodically worked with us to understand our tastes and needs. Vicki designed our entire large master bedroom and it exceeded our expectations. Vicki and Donna also upgraded and refreshed every room in our home with numerous furniture pieces, wall art, accessories, fabric headboards, bedding, accent pillows and mirrors. They also guided us through the process of selecting custom draperies throughout our home. They did an incredible job transforming our home, giving it a totally new refreshed look. They coordinated all of the furniture deliveries and room placement, as well as installing a significant amount of wall art and mirrors through out our home. We were extremely pleased with their designer skills and most of all their willingness to really listen to our needs and then turn it into reality. They made this a very seamless process and we really enjoyed working with them. We highly recommend this fabulous professional designer team.

We purchased a second home at Candlewood Lake last year and needed to redesign our main living areas and kitchen, as well as paint and refloor most of the house. We wanted to take the decor from a very traditional and somewhat dated design to fresh and transitional. We literally chose At Home Design off of Houzz and we are so glad we did!! Vicky and Donna are creative, down-to-earth, and easy to work with. They listened to our vision, built on it with better ideas and where needed, adapted to our budget. It was wonderful to know they were handling every little detail--from overseeing basically an all-new kitchen to ordering den furniture to picking out interesting powder room light fixtures--as we were rarely able to be on site during the remodel. Having worked in the area for years, they know excellent contractors and suppliers who have roots in the community and stand by their work. We never had a moment's concern about turning our house over to them. They even gave us a surprise staging (with treats!) for our first weekend at our "new" house. We love our remodeled home and recommend them highly!!
