I have used Atchison Architectural Interiors on several different projects, from a kitchen remodel to redecorating our living/dining room and repainting our entire house. Jean is thorough and listens carefully to my requirements. Every project is a collaboration. Jean is especially excellent at helping to choose the right colors and the correct furniture from a style and size standpoint. We need an unusual sized rug and Jean was extremely carefully to make sure that it was exactly the right size. I would use her again for any decorating project that I would consider.

Atchison Architectural Interiors’ ability to tackle complex jobs with a wide variety of requirements is impressive. We have hired them to do a number of projects for us ranging from office to spec home for both modern and traditional spaces. Their interior design work was directly responsible for a 30% profit on the spec home. My son's apartment was a complete gut of a vintage apartment and my own home required the ability to combine family pieces in a warm and inviting design. We were all very pleased with the results and would highly recommend them for any kind of interior design project.

I recently completed my third project with Jean Atchison of Atchison Architectural Interiors. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. When it was time to redo the kitchen, living room, dining room, and entrance hallway we hired Jean to do the interior design and construction. We scheduled the project so most of the work could be done while we were out of town and left it to Jean to manage. Her excellent project management skills kept all aspects of the job moving along smoothly and timely from the product selection phase of cabinetry, tile, countertops, lighting, and paint to the interior furnishings, selection of fabrics, wall coverings, and furniture through to the final installation. Jean is an outstanding designer and it was a pleasure to work with her. She was able to translate my aesthetic and deliver the vision that I wanted for my home. I relied on her unerring eye, expertise, and professionalism to make it happen. I would highly recommend Jean to anyone needing a talented and creative interior designer.

I have worked with Jean on 3 major renovations over the past 18 years exceeding $100K in expenditures. The projects included a complete kitchen renovation, living room and library redecorating, design of custom cabinetry in our son’s bedroom and a complete renovation of our master bathroom including conversion from a tub to a walk in shower and new tiling. Jean is very creative about how to use limited spaces, extremely organized and forward thinking about all project details and delightful to work with. She has a great eye for how to update the look of vintage spaces while retaining the feeling of elegance. I would highly recommend Jean and am happy to provide any references.

We hired Jean to work with the Board of Directors to update the lobby of our 1920s Co-op building. She grasped all aspects of the undertaking and guided us professionally through the design, decision-making, specifying and implementation of the project. Her sense of design, budgeting and deadlines is excellent and she was wonderful to work with as we worked toward a design appropriate to the building and its owners.

Unlike many designers, she worked with us to design a home that fit our style instead of imposing her own vision on us. She was very quick to pick up on what my style was and was able to greatly add her expertise to fulfill my vision of what I wanted my home to look like. As newcomers to Chicago, it has been wonderful to have an experienced guide through the many possible furniture and design shops in the city. We would highly recommend Jean for your home project.

Jean has decorated two of my homes. Jean is very creative and has great design concepts to create a chic and polished look for her clients. My first home she assisted with all design aspects from furniture and art selection to fabrics, paint and wall coverings, and even our dishware. My second home was a full renovation of an old loft. Jean and her team worked seamlessly until the job was complete. Jean updated the entire loft with high gloss walls, picture frame molding, cararra marble bathrooms, chevron carpet and the most beautiful glass tiled kitchen backsplash. She built all my closets to be vertical and utilized the most creative pulls, step ladders, and other accessories to maximize the space of a closet in a city loft! Jean's team was so friendly and nice, they accessed my home even when I was not there and left everything impeccable at each day's end! Even my dog loved them by the time the job was complete! I would highly recommend Atchison Architectural Interiors!
