B. Andrew Torrey is the founder of BA Torrey, an Interior Design Firm focusing on Private Residential Commissions, Real Estate Development Projects, and Custom Furnishings. Inspired by superb craftsmanship and the use of natural materials, Andrew endeavors to create spaces that reflect their owner’s personality while also elevating them to a timeless place of sophisticated elegance and inspired living. As he was recently quoted in Forbes Magazine: “It costs a lot to have exactly what you want, and my clients work extremely hard to be able to afford just that.” BA Torrey Interiors was founded in 2013, after Andrew left a successful career in Real Estate. Representing more than half a billion dollars in residential property transactions, Andrew was an integral member of one of The Wall Street Journal’s Top 26 Sales Teams Nationwide. Andrew has staged or “designed to sell” many of the most prestigious properties sold in New York City. In 2012, his team sold the most expensive co-op in Manhattan’s history to date – a $54 million penthouse duplex at 785 Fifth Avenue! Growing up as a ranch hand on the outskirts of the original “lawless cowtown” of Dodge City, Kansas, Andrew was actively involved in 4-H and the F.F.A. (Future Farmers of America). As a teenager, he traveled the country competitively showing his family’s American Quarter Horses on the national show circuit, becoming a multi-time World Champion finalist. Currently, Andrew lives in New York City in West Chelsea near The High Line Park and all of his favorite art galleries. Andrew loves to find inspiration through travel, from dog-sledding on the peak of an Alaskan glacier, swimming with sharks in Belize, to motor-boating through the rocky islands of the Amalfi Coast. In 2010 he founded the Annual Hearts for Heroes Valentine’s Day Fundraiser, which has raised thousands of dollars for various charities including Doctors Without Borders, Stand Up To Cancer, and The Wounded Warrior Project.
