We had a great experience with Benavides Design. We engaged them to help us plan a complete renovation to our master bedroom and bathroom. Our master bath was tiny and we never used it as a result. We thought that we had limited options on how to expand it and none of them were very great. Benavides came in and was very creative in the approach they took to re-laying out the entire suite to maximize space and give us the large master bath that we always wanted but didn’t think was possible! They were also very helpful in assisting us with finish and fixture selections and using their established relationship with local vendors to their clients advantage. We had a great experience with Benavides Design and absolutely love our master suite!

Working with Kristen, Oscar, and the entire Benavides Design team was a dream come true. They assisted with 3 bathroom renovations as well as an entire basement renovation. I started with the Benavides design team in September 2022. We spent the first year together designing a complete renovation of my lake home. The design team came up with three variations and I ultimately choose one. Despite the fact that I had lived in the home for more than 10 years and had strong opinions on what needed to be changed, the design team came up with ideas of which I had never thought. Once a final design was in place, I went with the design team to choose all materials -- kitchen appliances, hardwood floors, chandeliers, bathroom fixtures, etc. That way, when general contractors (GC) gave me estimates for the projects, allowances were not permitted in the bid. The design team also helped me choose the GC for the job, which took six months. Taking my budget into account, the design team also helped me choose furniture for my new rooms. It is the two year mark, and I'm now living in my dream home. Oscar and Kristen and their team are experts in their field and an absolute pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I knew our project (total kitchen remodel & addition!) was ambitious and would require the right design consultants. From start to finish, the Benavides team was excellent! We renovated our whole first floor which included additions and even a new basement. Loved working with the Benavides team for our master bath remodel! It turned out better than we even envisioned! Their plans were very detailed and any questions or concerns were answered promptly! Kristen also helped pick out paint and window treatments for our master bedroom and everything blends beautifully. Love this space!

Kristen and Oscar helped transform and modernize our recently purchased and outdated home. Moving into our house felt extremely overwhelming since every room needed some TLC. Both Kristen and Oscar took their time to survey the property and provided us with great options on furniture and room planning. After I sent Kristen some design inspiration she presented us with spot on design choices for our project. She provided us with 3D renderings on 3 of our focused rooms (bar, kitchen, living room). She also completed beautiful stylings for our dining room, 2 half baths, primary bedroom and two sitting rooms . We were uncertain how the updates would come out since we kept the original flooring (red oak). The final look has exceeded our expectations! As as sit here on my new sofa, I am amazed at how that vision came to life.

Kristen and Oscar are a dream team! We bought our house with lots of hope and in need of a ton of help. There is not enough space to write down what a positive experience it has been working with Benevides Design. Kristen and Oscar truly care about what you need and went above and beyond to make sure our vision was brought to life. We decided on pursuing a huge kitchen reno project. The only thing I knew is that we wanted to knock down a wall and expand our kitchen. Kristen and Oscar are incredible to work with. They are professional, communicative and trustworthy. They were excellent in communicating timelines, delays and updates. Their attention to detail is evident in all aspects of the project. I was particularly happy with their budgeting process which allows you to choose options and plans that fit your comfort level. My favorite design feature is the lighting pieces....they are jewelry for the rooms. It was truly an outstanding experience.

Kristen and Oscar are design magicians. They took an old, ugly, outdated, non-functional master bathroom and master bedroom walk-in-closets into one of the most beautiful spaces in our home. When our friends come over and see it for the first time they have the same reaction we do, they can't believe this is someone's bathroom and not a 5 star hotel bathroom. Their unique blend of both interior design and architecture make them a totally unique company, and they fact they are husband and wife is a bonus. Kristen and Oscar were fantastic to work with. They came to our home and spent a generous amount of time with my wife and me and carefully listened to all of our wants and needs. After they gathered all of the necessary information, they put together FIVE different options for us to choose from. It was clear that they put a lot of time and effort into developing variety of choices for us. Once we chose the design that we wanted, they continued to work with us to make some additional changes until we arrived at the perfect layout. Then they put together a 3D video of what our kitchen would look like. That was probably the best part because it gave us a real life feel as what to expect. Our kitchen came out great and we couldn't have done it without Kristen and Oscar. They are truly the best!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would! We hired Kristen and Oscar to transform the hayloft of our horse barn into a guest suite. It is an oddly shaped space (about 800 sq ft) and we couldn’t quite figure out how to lay it out. We asked for a layout that had a small living area, kitchenette, bathroom and fit a queen bed. We could have never imagined how well the space could come out. They actually helped us transform the space into a legitimate living quarters with a full kitchen, spa bathroom, and TWO (!!!) Queen beds. And they sourced all of the furniture from their design houses. So it flows beautifully. I refer them to all of my friends. Can’t wait to have them back this fall to reimagine our home for us. Before and after pics posted.

We've been working with Kristen and Oscar for almost 2 years now on a major renovation and expansion. We are beyond excited with the results. It literally surpassed all expectations that we had. They were such a great team to work with, as they seamlessly worked with our architect and GC. Benavides Design House (BDH) is very easy to work with—they adapt to your budget, your timeline, and your taste. We knew we wanted to remodel our bathroom, but after spending hours looking at tile ourselves, we knew we needed help. BDH was recommended to us and I loved their photos on social media. They came to see our space and made several layout suggestions. They can even provide a 3D rendering to give you a better feel for the finished space. With the layout decided, they scheduled showroom appointments to choose the materials (tile, fixtures, vanity, etc). All of the selections were amazingly made in one afternoon! Then they will place the orders, or you can. You can use your own construction team, or they will suggest a contractor. Their flexibility and knowledge takes the stress out of renovations!

Trust your gut! I decided to go with Benevides Design House for help with my living room & dining room redesign because it "felt" right. It was such a pleasure to work with Oscar and Kristen! We reached out to them in the very early stages of planning for 2 different projects in our home: to re-envision the exterior facade of our home to include an extra window and a portico, and to convert a screened in porch to a sunroom. Benavides design team helped us design our second story addition and we are so excited to make their vision our realty! This husband and wife team are amazing! They have unbelievable talent and are so personable. Benavides Design House turned our unfinished basement into a beautiful space complete with an art room for the kids, spare bedroom, entertainment room, pool table/game room and a wine cellar wall. They did renderings for us ahead of time so that we could really see what our space would look like. They sat down with us and made sure we were comfortable and got to know our style before they made recommendations. They were flexible enough to put up with our last minute change of heart on a few decisions. They were also very responsive to our calls and emails throughout the process. Plus when we first moved to the South Jersey area, we paid almost double the hourly fee for a designer so we consider BDH to be very competitively priced.
