Betty was an amazing visionary and consummate professional throughout our home design/decorating project. She took the time to get to know us as people, then transformed our old house into a beautiful, comfortable home. Betty helped us create from scratch an intimate family room, an elegant dining room, and a stunning living room that frames a Hudson River view. It was an absolute pleasure to see her in action as she melded our tastes with her vision of what our house could be. Betty is an extraordinary artist! Betty made the entire process, of going from zero to more-than-we-could-have-ever-imagined, such a fun and rewarding experience. She is extremely personable and cares about her clients and her craft. Betty has helped me to update my kitchen . She was instrumental in choosing colors and finding a wonderful painter. She has a flair for coordinating colors and textures. Betty is objective, patient, looks at your situation from all angles, makes you feel as if you are her only client today. After her initial assessment and your input, she returns with several possibilities, makes the arrangements with contractors, and works with you until you are fully satisfied with the design. Betty helped with a lot of areas in our home. She picked paint and carpet colors for our bedrooms and coordinated paint/ tile in our bathrooms and kitchen. Betty always manages to choose the perfect colors for any room. Whatever she picks seems to bring the whole room together. Betty also finds unique accent pieces to go with any decor. She easily identified our taste and matched things perfectly, even moving us a bit outside our "box." We hired Betty Ross to help design two spaces to be cohesive with other rooms and the overall essence of my home. She worked together with my husband and I to design our family room and dining room. With Betty we picked out new hardwood floors which flow so beautifully between the rooms. She gave us lots of information about grade of wood, stain colors and the finish. With that we were able to feel certain in our purchase. The result is a warm, functional and much loved space in our home. We have enjoyed the comfort of the furniture accompanied by our wonderful hand made built in cabinets with fireplace and of course my husbands big TV. The dining room seats 12 - 14 comfortably with a semi-custom dining table and built in cabinets as well. The color scheme is exactly what I envisioned with Betyy making it come to life. We drove Betty a bit crazy but she was very good about being flexible and changing the design or picking out new pieces without judgement. The contractors she worked with we're all reliable and I would absolutely include them in any other future projects. The finishing touches, such as curtains and shades, were beautiful. I would highly recommend Betty and would not even think twice about recommending or hiring her again.
