$25,000… for TWO Christmas Trees?! I hired a decorating company called Black Eyed Susan in Doylestown to create a Christmas surprise for my wife in our new home. We were away on a cruise for Thanksgiving, and I gave them a $25,000 budget to professionally decorate the interior. I sent photos, paid a deposit, and expected a Hallmark-style reveal. Instead, when we returned, the first thing we saw were two huge flower pots tipped over, spilling dirt across the front steps because the pots had round bottoms. That set the tone. Inside was even worse. For $25,000, all we got was: One average Christmas tree in the foyer One oversized tree awkwardly stuffed into the family room A few random ornaments hanging from walkways and windows Ugly, wilted green garland draped around the house A pathetic, bare mantle — nothing like the gorgeous ones shown on their website No luxury. No creativity. No “Christmas brilliance.” Just two trees and dying garland. When I tried to resolve the issue with “Susan the Snob”, her attitude was dismissive, arrogant, and condescending — like she was the villain in a Hallmark movie. I even offered an extremely fair solution: she could take everything back and keep $10,000 for her time. Instead, she demanded another $5,000 from me. So now I'm out $25,000 for a disappointing setup, my wife didn’t get the holiday surprise she deserved, and this company refuses to do the right thing. If anyone wants two giant Christmas trees for next year, come get them — we won’t be using them again.

They have access to a range of vendors at different price points and are bursting with great ideas. They have helped me transform rooms and make my home a beautiful, inviting space. Black-eyed Susan’s Design Team understands this feeling of being overwhelmed by, so many decisions. They listen. Their creative process lends itself to creating ideas, which are both, practical and functional and at the same time, stylish. One piece of advice, which we have come to respect and believe in is “trust in the process” and I can honestly say that we have never been disappointed with the outcomes. We always say, Juliana got it right! Simply stated BES is the BEST!
