Since founding their partnership 20 years ago, Heidi Bonesteel, Michele Trout and Jill Hall have been recognized as one of America's most successful and creative Interior Design teams. The projects of their firm, Bonesteel Trout Hall, include national and international residences, golf residences, restaurants, private clubs and yachts. Based in Southern California, their signature design style epitomizes the laid back glamour of the California lifestyle. This "California look" has attracted clients from as far away as Saudi Arabia and Australia, where their use of color, natural materials and a relaxed, whimsical style works its magic equally well. Heidi, Michele and Jill travel extensively in search of inspiration. They draw upon their California upbringing and European heritages to create spaces that inspire lightness and fun, while remaining classically in balance. The results are worthy of the hippest of kings. Their projects have been featured in numerous publications, including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, California Home, Western Interiors, California Home and Design, and Coastal Living. In 2011, Bonesteel Trout Hall earned a spot as one of the 20 emergent and/or au courant designers to be featured in the online TradHome inaugural issue. LUXE magazine has recently named them a Style Maker for 2012. Heidi, Michele and Jill each have 20 years of design experience and each bring a wealth of personal and professional experience to the partnership. Heidi and Michele received their professional certificates from UCLA after graduating from University of California at Santa Barbara and Pepperdine University. Jill received her degree from UCLA.

Michele Trout and I have known each other since studying design at UCLA together. We have collaborated on several of her own homes as well as for clients. "Traditional Modern" is the funny twist of terms she likes. I love it.. To understand how to implement clean modern style while working with traditional bones of a building is an art and BTH is adept. I love their bold, colorful, trad-mod, California style.
