I was fortunate enough to work with two terrific designers, Alissa and Katie, from Bright Designlab on the transformation of my two outdated 70’s style full baths to beautiful modern rooms that work great for my family. I was a little hesitant to hire designers outside of the Bay Area, where I live. But they collaborated with me (and my two young daughters) very well and were there for every step of the process with their amazing designs and recommendations, which included holding my hand too many times to count. Their follow through was fantastic and they didn’t allow anything to slip through the cracks. It was such a pleasure to work with the team at Bright Designlab. They exceeded my expectations in every way!

We have a house that was built in the 1930s with a lot of character and charm. We wanted a new kitchen that fit with our house. Katie and Ally at Bright Designlab were able to give us a bright, big modern kitchen that fits perfectly with house. Our new kitchen is lovely, and I’m thankful for it every day. Our new favorite place is the beautiful breakfast nook, where we work and eat most meals. On top of being terrific designers, Katie and Ally were a delight to work with. Katie is calm and confident, and held my hand when I needed it. I learned to trust her even when a design decision was outside my comfort zone. Ally was great at following up and making sure everything was moving along as it should. We liked Katy so much that we later asked her to design a remodel of our outside front entrance. We love that too. I would give Katy and Ally an A+.

Katie and her team were brought into a large, complicated remodel project with us after demolition had already begun. She rolled up her sleeves and immersed herself in the project. She listened to the client, stayed true to the original design intent, adding her own significant touches, and collaborated well with us from day one. We ended up with an outstanding result and we would work with Katie again in a heartbeat.

When we purchased our home, my husband and I were so excited about decorating and making our house a home. But with two demanding jobs and more space than needed for 2 people the task became quite daunting. So we made the decision to hire an interior designers to help bring our vision to life. As a lover of design, I knew we had to find the perfect match. After cruising through many portfolios, I landed on Bright DesignLab and was immediately taken by their aesthetic. After a quick phone call with Alissa, I was 100% convinced they were the perfect partner for us. Surely our instincts were right because Alissa and Ericka have far exceeded our expectations every step of the way. They immediately understood the vision we had for our home and our expression of style. The designs presented were always right on point with very minimal changes needed. The entire design process has been so enjoyable and most of all easy for us. Everything from the design plans to ordering pieces to the install. They have it all under control and are experts at keeping you looped in along the way. We couldn't be happier with how our home is shaping up. The only problem is that they do such amazing work that it's hard to put an end to the project. We just want to keep going and going. Bright DesignLab will definitely be our go to design partner for all future home projects. Alissa and team are an absolute delight and the best in the business.

It was such a pleasure to work with Leela and the team at bright designlab and I recommend them very highly. Leela transformed our dated 1990s house into a light, bright and modern space that works great for our family. I knew it would be a great transformation, but it exceeded my expectations. Leela listened to our ideas and wishes, helped us work within a tight budget, and had great solutions to offer. Best of all she has great design sense and created a beautiful space that we love. She even helped us find a great contractor who worked well with us and with bright designlab. Home renovation is never easy, but the project went just about as smoothly as possible thanks to her great organization and communication.

Working with Alissa from bright design lab was such a pleasure. She was so good at listening to my ideas, sharing her own and turning them into a reality. She responded to my emails very promptly and paid close attention to all of the details. Everyone I worked with found the plans to be so thorough which I think really helped the project to go smoothly. I regularly refer my friends to them and would definitely work with her and her team again.

When our startup creative digital agency opened our first small office in Portland we wanted a space that looked and felt good - on a limited budget. Bright designlab did an outstanding job of understanding both our expectations and limitations. Three years later when we moved into a space three times larger and with a healthier budget we called them again. They have outstanding design sense, are very enjoyable to work with, and both the process and the outcomes are outstanding.

As new transplants to Portland, we were fortunate to find Bright Design lab. After meeting with Alissa and Leela, we knew immediately that they were the right fit for us and our project. Alissa has helped us transform a tired and traditional 1922 house into a fresh, hip space that perfectly represents our style and way of living. The team listens, pays attention and seems to always miraculously translate our ideas into perfectly organized concept boards. Their creative juices are on over-drive. They stay in budget, stay local when possible and make the entire design process easy and, more importantly, a blast! We have appreciated their utter professionalism and raw talent. As a matter of fact, we have loved working with them so much, we are now taking on a bigger project that involves a kitchen remodel and then some. Watching Alissa organize and coordinate with our General Contractor and engineer has only further solidified what a we already knew- She is a Rock Star.

I worked with Alissa and Tessa at Bright Design Lab. We had less than a month to design and get permits for our new business Echo Natural Beauty. I know this design would not have happened if we did not hire the expertise of Bright Design Lab. They met all timelines and were available to tackle any issues which came up proactively. It was a pleasure to work with them and what could have been a very stressful time was full of ease and fun.

An honest, rave review for a fantastic design firm. bright designlab recently turned our cramped, dated French country kitchen into a timeless and functional one. We are absolutely thrilled with principal Alissa Pulcrano's work. Her design acumen, taste and willingness to experiment gave us a kitchen that's as elegant as it is useful. Alissa brought smart solutions to bear on storage problems that had troubled us for years. Throughout the design process, she was prompt and communicative -- with us and our contractors. She seemed perpetually available to answer questions. Alissa made our kitchen livable and beautiful -- and she did it within our budget, which is exactly what we wanted.

I hired Bright Designlab to help me - articulate my ideas for renovation in the house we recently bought - to help prioritize my budget - to bounce ideas off - to engage a contractor and oversee the results; helping me make mid-project decisions Leila and her team helped me realize a renovation that didn't look like a renovation, that modernized and updated the space, and gave me the house I really wanted, rather than the one I bought. I will most definitely work with Bright Designlab again, for my next project.

Leela and Alissa from bright designlab were contracted to help me reimagine the kitchen and bathrooms in a neglected contemporary house I purchased. They did not disappoint! They came up with incredible design proposals that showed great thought and attention to detail. The result was a drop-dead, high quality kitchen and 3 bathrooms which are highly functional yet will look stunning & relevant for decades to come. They also worked great as a team with my general contractor as well as my interior designer to create designs that were cohesive with what we were doing with the house. Bright designlab is highly recommended especially if you are looking for design services for contemporary or mid-century homes. These ladies get it!
