Jessica Becker has been on all sides of the design industry for over two decades, giving her a unique perspective on product application both aesthetically and functionally. Following her coursework at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, she worked for a private firm, in the Design & Decorator Building, and the New York Design Center. In addition to her freelance design work, she is a consultant to Real Simple Magazine, Yahoo Lifestyle and other publications. Jessica currently lives in Westerly, Rhode Island. Besides her passion for transforming spaces, she enjoys historic house tours, writing and the beach. She owned two successful restaurants, Ogie’s Trailer Park and The Duck & Bunny, the country’s only Snuggery.

We loved working with Jessica. She took on a massive project (decorating an entire home) and has managed a ton of details for us seamlessly. On top of that, the final product is a dream come true. She heard everything we were saying about what she wanted and then brought it together with style that we could never have achieved on our own. She has a great eye and expertly mixes nice, high end touches with durable everyday pieces (especially for a home with small children). She also works well with a cross section of suppliers, vendors, contractors, etc., managing most of the day to day so we didn't have to be on top of every detail. Jessica has seen me through several home renovations in 3 locations, from gutting kitchens and bathrooms to mixing and matching new and well-loved furniture to bedroom linens. She has an eye for picking out an individual item or fixture I never would have chosen, but when you see the finished room you can’t imagine anything else living in that spot! Textured wallpaper and rugs, metallic accents, marble (but affordable) gorgeous tile, artsy lamps and classic Benjamin Moore colors are features I’ve carried through in all my decorating thanks to Jessica’s influence. I loved the Hampton Carrara marble tile she picked out for my bathroom and kitchen so much that when I sold that house and moved, I ordered the exact same tile for my latest kitchen renovation. Another favorite piece of advice from Jessica – never choose a tchotchke smaller than your head. It’s helped me declutter and save a lot of time dusting, not to mention a much more calming appearance! Thank you Jessica!

She even went shopping with me for furniture, lamps, lighting and other decorative accessories. She was always careful to offer suggestions and advice, but allowed me to make the final decisions, knowing that I was the one who was going to have to live with the choices. I found her to be very accommodating and accessible and her commitment to client satisfaction her top priority.
