Michaeline and her team worked on a major project for me and my family. We did a master bedroom addition, family room, entire outside siding and added a basement bath. Additionally, they created a 2nd floor laundry room and her team helped us with finishing touches for all our window treatments and updating our foyer with wallpaper and lighting. I loved that they were down to earth and took the time to "get" us and learn what we were looking for. They were always patient and kind even when difficulties arise during the project which of course they did with the scale of the project. The end results were better than we could have imagined and more functional that I knew it could be. As someone with type A and difficulty giving up control they guided me through times that they said, "trust us" and other times, they went back to the drawing board to get it to something we would be excited about. I really enjoy my house so much more after working with them. I am proud of the finished and polished look. I don't think we would have been able to get this without the professional team at Butter & Velvet! The only negative I would say is the shipping/storage extra fees, I wish that didn't cost quite so much. Otherwise 5 stars! Would love to work with them again and highly recommend them!

Absolutely amazing experience!! I stopped in to re-decorate my great room and are so thankful the studio manager, Gabriella Lanzo, was there to help me. All her suggestions turned out amazing. Debbie gave me many good ideas for my project. She reworked some furniture pieces that I already had and gave lots of new furniture options to choose from, that were with in my budget. Most importantly she prompted me to pull the trigger on things that I had been waiting on for no particular reason other than that I could not make up my mind. I am very happy with how everything turned out.

Wow! Our expectations were beyond exceeded with Debbie from Butter and Velvet! We had a living room that really needed an upgrade and an overall brightening up. There were some challenges with the existing room, it already had a dark wood plank ceiling and a large rock wall. It was a cozy space, but it was dark and needed lightening and more modern touches. Debbie suggested lighter furniture, an amazing new couch, a custom area rug, and flooring. We needed flooring that worked with our son's wheelchair and she offered options that I didn't know were available. We ended up with flooring around the perimeter and a custom, beautiful rug for the middle of the room which is absolutely gorgeous! We are so beyond happy with our living room, it is so gorgeous, sometimes I can't believe It's our house! I highly recommend Debbie, she is an absolute professional and has an amazing vision for design.

My husband and I wanted to update our great room, dining room and office and Debbie proved to be a wonderful and knowledgeable professional who quickly understood our concerns, tastes, and needs. After hearing about our goals she and her team developed a number of options for our consideration. I can be easily overwhelmed with too many choices and I trusted and appreciated her confidence to provide options(chair designs or fabrics, for instance) of various pricing or style for us to consider. Debbie would always discuss in detail how the elements fit into our overall plan. And if something wasn’t going to work, I truly appreciated her candor! And I must say that I felt she truly loved her work and that she was happy for us when it all came together. Now I can just sit and enjoy my beautiful new rooms or entertain family and friends. We recently renovated the kitchen and family room. We knocked down a wall to open the space in the kitchen. Therefore I wanted the design to flow through both rooms since these are the most high traffic areas and rooms we spend the most time of for a family of 6 (including 4 children under 13). My family room has always been a pain point because I have zero design abilities (as much as I am obsessed with watching HGTV..lol). Therefore thats why we decided to call in the experts at butter & velvet came highly recommended by many people in my town. From our first meeting they closely listened to our needs and our styles that we like. There were many design options presented and helped us narrow down what we liked and fit our budget. Through the process of a home renovation we also experienced a severe family illness that led to hospitalization. Through it all everyone at B&V has been so accommodating with purchases, deliveries, multiple visits to our home, etc. Even when an item was broken when delivered it was take care of within minutes and a replacement was ordered. Responses to emails and texts have always been same day which is extremely reassuring when making real time design and construction decisions. Everything has come together so seamlessly and I am so excited about the two new spaces. It is such a happy place and can't wait to make so many memories in years to come. Please trust me...I know hiring a designer can be a very tough decision but I would HIGHLY recommend Butter & Velvet. You will truly have the home of your dreams!

We love Michaeline and her crew! They entered my house while my daughter was at school and I was at work. She accomplished a complete redo of my daughter's room by the end of the day, It went from a toddler's room to a "big" girls room. CYS redecorated our 12 year old daughter's bedroom. The room is fun and energetic, a perfect compliment to our daughter. Michaeline worked with our daughter, asking her opinion on fabrics and colors. Allowing her to be a part of the process was so smart. We are all thrilled with the results.

Designed and redecorated a sunroom, which is used primarilly for watching TV by young teengars. The budget was fairly low, so Michaeline made few changes, but they had significant impact. She also shopped with me at stores like Home Goods to buy nice items at good prices. She suggested refinishing the wood floors and painting, which were simple to do, not too expensive, and were major visual enhancements. The room is long and narrow, which is challenging to arrange funriture, so she suggested that we primarilly provide seating in the room, rather than clutter it with too many decoarative items. She helped me to find a gently used modular couch which is so comfy. The room was not only a big hit with the teenagers, but also with my husand and myself. Michaeline turned a dated 'kids room' into a room to be enjoyed by the entire family. Including the dogs!

I hired Michaeline after we completed a major renovation on our home. The house went from having many small rooms to a large, open floor plan. She helped us to blend the spaces while still using the furniture that we had. She incorporated new drapes, some new rugs, new paint colors and accessories. The space came together beautifully!
