Cindy McCarley is a wonderful designer who has helped us with several projects that we were very pleased with. She designed and purchased the interior from start to completion for our new construction carriage house. I can highly recommend her and her designs.

Cindy is professional, personable and very easy to work with. She listens to your wants and needs, makes recommendations and lets you select what You like for your home. Cindy designed a beautiful piece of furniture for our corner wet bar area. It’s functional and adds a wonderful, custom look to the room. Working with her was a great experience!

Cindy and her team are phenomenal. She helped me tremendously, at a time when I truly needed advice and assistance from a design expert. I had begun building a house in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Due to life altering circumstances I could no longer be as attentive to the process as I had expected. However, once I found Cindy McCarley and her design team, I knew I had an advocate. Cindy's professional and patient demeanor were two characteristics that were important for my new build, design project. Five Stars aren’t really enough to do Cindy and her talented team justice! I wasn’t even looking for a designer for the remodel of my entire house, but was fortunate enough to discover her on Houzz during my search for a contractor. She had me at first sight of her listing because it included photos of exactly the type of look I’d been hoping for. I called immediately and it turned out to be the best decision I made throughout the entire project. My project ended up being even more challenging than originally anticipated, yet her patience, impressive work ethic, thoughtful attention to detail, and excellent communication saw it through to completion. I literally could not have done it without her guidance. And I haven’t even mentioned her ability to come up with creative and beautiful interior design, which in my case included the complete remodel of my kitchen, four bathrooms, and the interiors of the rest of the house!

We found Cindy McCarley on Houzz when we were looking for a designer to renovate our kitchen, media room, and bunk room (as well as several other smaller areas in the house) in our beach property. Our renovation was a complete to the studs renovation and they handled every aspect for us, especially because we live in another state and were not able to be there in person. We are beyond pleased with the outcome of the renovation and there is no way we could have achieved the great results without Cindy. She is a gifted designer and excellent communicator, not to mention she is just a really enjoyable person to work with. We are already thinking of more projects we would like to hire Cindy to help us with.

Sea Winds is the second project that Cindy and her team have completed with me. I purchased a lovely beach home with soaring ceilings and doors that open wide to the pool deck and patio. I thought the home would be lovely for entertaining, but it was very bland and had a bit of an industrial, New York loft feeling to the space, and not a spec of furniture. My vision was a spacious, light, sun-filled, inviting place with happy rooms that whispered “relax” where I could host my friends and family at the beach. I loved the space, but I asked Cindy to make the soaring ceilings — maybe 20 feet? — intimate, cozy — an oxymoron for sure. I honestly had no idea how this could be done. Cindy and her team (who are amazing as well) got to work and created a color palette of soft blues, greens, and whites and integrated this with lots of textures masquerading as performance fabrics and mixed new furniture and a few curated antiques to create a home that feels intimate and refreshing. Cindy and her team are talented, and they delivered on deadline for my family retreat in October. Strangers who have seen the house and her work have offered to buy it. That is a pretty good reference of the value you get when you hire Cindy McCarley and her design team!

Cindy exceeded our expectations in redesigning our kitchen. Our goal was to have a kitchen that had more character yet functional. She was able to accomplish that. She worked well with the contractor and subcontractors to ensure that our job was finished in the manner in which she had envisioned. She was integrally involved in designing and selecting cabinets, appliances, hardware, paint color and our home furnishings. She was wonderful to work with. We are very pleased with the end results and could not have accomplished the task without her assistance.

We knew from our first meeting with Cindy that our partnership was going to be wonderful. She is an excellent listener and took our wishes into account when assisting us with a complete remodel of our condo. We were referred to Cindy by our realtor for help with construction, design and furnishing of our new beach house in 30A. Once we met with her in her own beautiful home for a consult, my husband and I knew she was who we wanted to work with. Cindy was an absolute dream to work with and I could not have survived the year long process without her. Living in Texas and dealing with Covid supply chain delays made the process extremely stressful but Cindy helped everything be as seamless as possible every step of the way- from conception, to purchasing, to storing furniture, to complete house installation. She also worked closely with our contractor to ensure everything was installed correctly on the front end. I can't recommend her and her services highly enough!

We are building a new house and needed a full house of furniture. Cindy was so helpful directing us in the right direction with different choices for each room. Cindy was very knowledgeable drawing layouts and graphs of where the furniture would be placed and gave us an accurate view of how the room would look. She provided pictures of how the different rooms would look with different furniture venues. This was very helpful in visualizing how each room would look finished. She was drawing available to meet with us both at vendors and on site for consult. She has contacts in all fields of home decor and was instrumental in arranging meetings, as well as attending them with us. She assisted us with window treatments, carpet, paint colors, wallpaper, furniture and all elements needed when building a home. Cindy is very comfortable and easy to work with our personal taste. We highly recommend this very talented professional.

Cindy transformed a run-of-the-mill house into my dream beach cottage packed with charm inside and out. She had a talent for listening to what I wanted -- a bright, light traditional beach cottage with pops of fresh color -- and making it come to life. I wanted the house to have a "collected and curated" feeling while being new. She worked with me to incorporate my ideas into the design in a way the worked for the outcome I wanted, and nudged out some of my not-so-great ideas with much better ones. I really appreciated how she created a unique design for me that didn't necessarily look like anything else in her portfolio. This is the hallmark of a great designer in my view: they don't replicate the same look. Cindy works with you to create your look, your vision, and your home! I couldn't recommend her more highly!!

Our vacation home was starting to look a bit outdated and was in need of full redecoration, but we don't live in the area. So we were looking for someone that we could trust and that was willing to work with us from afar. Cindy McCarley was highly recommended by several property owners in the area and we are so happy that we listened to them. Our job required fully completion in 2 months, and included painting the house inside and outside, changing all light fixtures, looking for furniture to replace most of the rooms and redecorate the entire home. We couldn't be more satisfied with Cindy. She understood what we wanted after just one meeting in person. She was very professional, and very easy to work with! She has fantastic relations with stores and contractors in the area and found everything and everyone we needed, from painters and electricians to furniture stores. She completed the job on our budget and it was done on time! What else could we ask for? We absolutely love the results. The house looks like a new property! Cindy helped us with a full house project which began August 2020. The house was a spec home with 2 indoor living areas, 4 bedrooms, a separate carriage house with a living room, small kitchen and bedroom and an outdoor living space. We asked Cindy to help design, locate and procure all furniture, window treatments and some accessories and decorative items. She was tasked with completing this within a 4 month window. This is our second home - so communications with Cindy were initially all via phone/zoom. Cindy was proactive in jumping in and getting started right away. She identified the items with longer lead times and made sure those were ordered immediately. Her solid relationships with great furniture sources throughout the Fort Walton area helped us complete the project on time. In addition she has extensive sources for online orders and took care of all of those as well. She did a great job laying out the numerous spaces and making sure we didn’t have too much or too little furniture for each space. She did a nice job managing our budget and had a good sense for where it was appropriate to allocate more resources. She respected our unique style while gently leading us toward better options when necessary. She was always communicative and responsive and truly a pleasure to work with. We are thrilled with the outcome. Each room has its own individual flair yet the whole house has a cohesive feel - beautiful and distinctive art and furnishings with a relaxed, beachy, chic vibe. It is warm and welcoming and all of the touches make it a perfect family space. We have received many unsolicited compliments on the collective space which has also solidified our satisfaction with selections/outcome. We absolutely love our home! We would recommend Cindy to anyone embarking on a large design project such as ours.

Cindy McCarley Designs was highly recommended by a friend who voiced excitement and satisfaction about her newly renovated kitchen. After a tour of the kitchen, my husband and I were equally impressed with the work and contacted Cindy. Initially what we envisioned as a "simple" kitchen/bath renovation resulted in major structural changes. The entire kitchen was gutted and modifications were made to square footage, layout and extreme cabinet angles. The new cabinets were designed to be more proportional to the room and ceiling height. The final product revealed beautiful black cabinetry with gold hardware displayed in an open kitchen concept. The standout feature is the stunning white Mother of Pearl backsplash. For the family's lifestyle, functionality was key which Cindy kept in mind when planning. We were also pleased that the master bathroom was transformed into a spatial spa like environment. During meetings, Cindy sparked ideas, welcomed our input and provided practical advice when delving into the design and budget. We worked with Cindy initially to design all the custom cabinets in our house. We were so pleased with her work that we decided to engage her to help us do much more of the interior design. She was fabulous to work for, very accommodating and assessable, great ideas and very flexible. My husband and I couldn't be happier with how Cindy transformed our home. Cindy has worked on multiple projects over the last three years. Cindy helped us decorate our living room with rugs, chairs, sofas and new paint colors. She selected bedding, chairs and rugs for our three guest bedrooms. She also designed our screened porch into a beautiful outdoor dining and living space with a dinning table, chairs, sofa and tv. She also helped us change our kitchen with new colors and backsplash. Finally, she helped us select colors for a complete exterior and interior paint job. Her services included consulting, purchasing, scheduling and installation. We worked closely with Cindy McCarley for several months during design and renovation of our condo at the Dunes of Seagrove. She is a true professional and a delight to work with. Cindy did an outstanding design on our small kitchen and living area and made it extremely functional with tons of storage which was way limited before she took command. This designer is incredible. i never thought I could afford a designer but her bio said no job too big or too small. She was beyond helpful and competent. i don't feel like project I started without her would have ever gotten completed. She was there fighting for me.
