We worked with Shandy on a remodel / refresh and furnishings of a new house we purchase. She was excellent from the start and provided exceptional service. We are SO happy with the results. After going through the parade of homes and getting referrals from friends, we interviewed several general contractors before choosing one for our custom new build. We had already created our own custom floor plan and submitted application for our builders permit before deciding it would be wise to hire an interior designer to help with all the many decisions we would soon be facing. By luck, we were introduced to Shandy. Shandy is phenomenal in so many ways. She immediately won us over with her professionalism and relatable personality. Shandy took the feedback regarding our wants and needs for both the functionality and aesthetic design of our home and quickly created a beautiful initial design concept that was a true reflection of who we are as a couple. Shandy helped facilitate a fun and exciting experience that can otherwise be daunting at times when taking on a custom new build. Shandy set up appointments for us to visit showrooms together to view and select all the many finishes for our home…plumbing, lighting, appliances, flooring, countertops, cabinetry, windows, hardware, trim, window treatments, etc. As we spent more time getting to know Shandy, our confidence in her ability to compile a comprehensive and cohesive design throughout our home grew so much that we hired her to assist in selecting furnishings. Once again, Shandy took our feedback and created a formal presentation with beautiful mood boards of each room with furnishings she had curated. Shandy truly has a knack for her line of work and it is easy to see how much she loves her profession. My only wish is that we would’ve found her sooner. Shandy’s experience and knowledge would have been helpful to tap into even in the beginning stages when we were working with an architect on our blue prints. Shandy could have provided insight into what structural plans can impact the interior design details and overall flow of the layout. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, working with Shandy has been the most fun part of the building process. Of all the contractors and vendors we worked with, throughout the entire process, she was the most professional, reliable, punctual and consistent. She was committed to making our goals a reality and now we are living in our beautiful forever home that was created with a timeless look in mind rather than following the latest trend. We started working with Shandy at ClaireHouseDeisgn 6 months before the start of our renovation. Shandy was amazing to work with from the start. She spent time listening and going through ideas we had for our space, to create a vision for our renovation. She set up contractor interviews to find the right fit for our project. She blew us away with her design presentation board (which brought me to tears,specifically the kitchen design). Shandy’s design and attention to detail were spot on to what we liked. Throughout the project, Shandy managed many details and moving parts of our project, including the project manager and all the trade meetings to help us decide on all the necessary needs for each room. We specifically found this to be a much welcomed perk to the design service Shandy provided. We would highly recommend Shandy for the quality she brings to any renovation (or new build) projects!
