We enjoy working with all our design colleagues but are especially impressed by those that really listen to their clients, meeting them wherever they are in the decision-making process, providing a range of options and helping them to achieve their vision. It's a pleasure to work with Melanie and observe her dedication to the best result for her clients. We value her creative approach as a designer and her professionalism as a colleague.

I've worked with Melanie off and on for almost 5 years, with our most recent project involving a year-long remodel of my San Francisco house, where she and her team designed the interiors for my main floor (consisting of a living room, parlor, kitchen, family area, dining area, and powder room). Aside from a lovely, affable personality, Melanie is a joy to work with because she is a good listener, quickly hones in on your style, knows when she can push your vision, and offers you design options that are above and beyond what you could have imagined. The end result is not only gorgeous, but it is efficient. While she is known for her glamorous work, she's also designed an adorable little boy's bedroom for me (i.e., she has the chops to do any style). I've also worked very successfully with members of her team (Dana) with seamless transitions. I would recommend Melanie and her team without hesitation, and am so grateful that she and her team were there to guide key aspects of my renovation!

We hired Taylor Tanimoto (Coddington Design's senior designer here in Los Angeles) to design and execute our new kitchen and also redecorate our living room. We began with several architectural drawings that Taylor created and once we decided on our favorite, the work began. This was our first remodel/redesign ever and we were pretty nervous. But Taylor was a HUGE help! She helped us choose and source everything from tile, to appliances, to window coverings. And she even showed up to guide the subcontractors on install days. We are SO pleased with the finished product. In fact, we've asked Taylor to help us remodel our next project which is my office. Can't wait to get started :)

Melanie's team was organized, professional and responsive throughout the design and building process. Their sense of design and attention to detail are exceptional. I would highly recommend the firm for any decorating needs. The team is talented and easy to work with.

We have worked together as a team - I have incorporated pieces I previously owned and ones I've purchased on my own into my space - and they have helped me with room layouts/furniture plans, furniture, fabric for seating and drapery/roman shades, wallpaper, and paint colors when I've felt stuck! The resulting product - a home with rooms that flow, interesting/unique pieces and a space I'm proud of that feels truly "me."

We've been enjoying the quality of Melanie's design for about ten years now. Our collaboration on the San Francisco Decorator Showhouse throughout the years has been a lot of fun. It's always interesting to see what artwork Melanie selects for a project and how she puts it together. And of course, Melanie is great at tapping into our own expertise. So great to collaborate with her.

Our custom sewing for interiors workroom has been fortunate to have helped Melanie to create beautiful curtains, Roman shades, and bedding for her clients for the past 2.5 years. We have been enjoying it immensely. Every project is unique with exquisite details that make it obvious that it was thought through and worked on for a long time. Every pair of curtains looks simple and stunning due to Melanie's talent in finding the right fabric and putting colors together.

Melanie helped me with the design of my downstairs studio rental apartment. I was mired in a design-as-I-go approach when Melanie stepped in and put together great layouts, tile design and finishes for my rental. She made efficient use of a small space and helped me visualize how everything would come together at completion. She was very responsive to my budget and timeline and helped create a very livable space with some modern flourishes that didn't break the budget. My tenant is super happy and I'm even happier now that I've made the transition from re-modeler to landlord.

Melanie designed my kitchen remodel. She patiently listened to my concerns and desires. Her first recommendation was to look at many kitchens on Houzz and add the ones I liked to an ideabook. This made it easy for me to see what style I wanted. Her design was wonderful. She opened up the space, and made the most of what we had. Melanie helped me with questions and problems throughout the remodel. Melanie made the process as smooth as possible. We love our new kitchen.
