Pam did a terrific job with our bath remodel, which involved taking everything down to the studs and going from there. She is very well organized, has a terrific team of contractors she works with, and is right on top of everything that is going on. She is very adaptable to changing conditions, and to her client changing their minds. This was a truly no stress remodel (for us), done on time, and with very high quality work throughout. We were very impressed, pleased with the process, and the final product.

I would highly recommend Pam Melin for her decorating expertise. I recently purchased a home in Seattle and Pam was invaluable in offering suggestions on furniture, rugs & decor. She worked within my budget & met with me both in my home & at select furniture stores. She has good contacts for household services such as electrical & landscaping. Her professional fee gets partly absorbed by the Trade Discount she can obtain on furnishings. She has a great sense of style.

I did not know what I wanted to do with my dated condo until Pam came in and helped me decide. She quickly “got” my aesthetic, and most every recommendation was spot on. We worked collaboratively to pick out colors, floors, counters, cabinets, etc. all I had to do was make selections from her suggestions. It made something that was completely overwhelming, completely handleable. Then, once the heavy duty work was done, we took the furniture I already had and added to it to make a space that is comfortable, tasteful, and someplace I want to be. The once brown and orange bathrooms are now filled with soothing colors. Pam had the ingenious idea of getting my cat litter boxes out of the tiny bathrooms and into their own “kitty closet,” complete with tiled floor. The best part for me was that Pam oversaw everything in terms of the major work. I work full-time and could not possibly have had the time necessary for this. I would recommend Pam for any job, large or small. She has a sense of budget, great taste, and innovative ideas.

Pam is fantastic. Pam led a fairly involved renovation of our entire first floor, including structural work, electrical, installation of a hydronic heated floor. She came with many great ideas and also was very flexible in incorporating our tastes and creative ideas on sourcing unique products, like hand-made barn doors, and a custom vanity. She worked with the structural engineer, architect, plumber, electrician, and painters to coordinate all of the pieces and keep the project moving on track with very few pauses between the different types of work. As with any project, there were tiny things about the work that were not up to standards with some of the products or workmanship, and she identified these immediately and worked with each of subcontractors to have them corrected in an expedited way (something arrived chipped, incorrect paint color applied in one spot). She was also on hand for all inspections and made sure that everything proceeded smoothly with the city. She even came back on her own time (at no charge) to put some final finishes on things that needed a touch up. During the nearly year we worked with Pam to plan and the finish the project, she has been incredibly accessible, thoughtful, and helpful, especially in thinking about how not only the work would impact our kids, but also how the finished product could serve them well- extra work spaces and storage ideas with kids in mind. We worked with Pam and her team to build an office in our back yard. We had an existing detached garage from 1941 with no electricity, and Pam's crews (architecture, electrical, construction, painting/drywall, roofing) delivered a beautiful office space over the course of about three months. The space is delightful, and the process was very easy. Pam knows what's coming up next on the schedule, handled a ton of things that we didn't have to, and had great design suggestions along the way.

Pam worked with us to remodel a small cabin into a guest house. She served both as a designer and as project manager. In the design phase, she brought to us various options from plumbing fixtures to paint colors. Once we had made basic decisions on the project, she called on subcontractors with whom she had had experience to bid on their various parts of the job. After we accepted the bids, she managed those subcontractors, both in terms of schedule and performance. When we had issues with subcontractors, which is inevitable, she worked with the subs to get them resolved. Pam is excellent. We could not have completed this project without her help.

Pam helped me create the kitchen of my dreams! Even with unknown blockers centered around COVID, Pam was able to stay incredibly organized with my remodel and always kept me in the loop through timing setbacks because of COVID protocol changes. Her keen eye for style helped polish my initial ideas and we created something truly special. I highly recommend Pam for any remodeling needs

For our home remodel, Pam Melin of Considered Space, LLC helped us focus on the areas of importance to us and balanced our personal aesthetic with her design experience and mastery of budgeting. Pam clearly illustrated cost impacts and brought her knowledge and great design thinking to everything from initial layout design and quality materials, to finish choices, furnishings and appliances. Her presentation of the options and management of our choices with the overall budget helped us easily understand the impact of our choices and how they aligned with our main areas of concern. Her swift and graceful management of the various contractors and the work schedule made the process smooth. Most importantly, Pam looked at our project from a really positive point of view. While others started the conversation from a place of “that’s not possible” given our budget, Pam started at a place of “let’s see what’s possible” and was encouraging, professional, thoughtful about cost, and design-minded - balancing form and function, aesthetics and quality - throughout. In the end, our home remodel was accomplished on time and on budget and we have a home we love.

Pam is an outstanding professional. She was on top of every detail of the project. Her design eye is superb, but she also allowed me to insert my own ideas into the project. A real win-win for our bathroom!!

My wife and I recently purchased a new home in Redmond. Since both of us get caught up with work and interior design isn't exactly what we are good at, we hired Pam Melin as our designer who could provide her expertise in sourcing furnitures and decor for our new home. We really needed someone who could keep our project done within our budget and on a tight schedule. Pam not only spent her time to work with us on every detail but she followed through throughout the whole process. She made us feeling like we were part of the process.
