We we’re looking to do a major kitchen renovation in our 1979 Plano home and due to the complexity and scope of the work, we decided to interview designers. We had just gotten married and were combining both households and styles into my husband’s home (a home that he had already owned for about 8 years prior to us getting married). We met with Dee Frazier and her team and made an instant connection. She was very thoughtful and directed with her questions and was looking to get feedback from both me and my husband. We had several challenges: Incorporate an old porch turned sunroom into part of the kitchen Make the tiny laundry room larger Remove or do something with a wall that separated the living from the the den that also contained a closet we used as a pantry and unused bar Give us more storage in the kitchen Improve the overall lighting and give our home a relaxed/calm atmosphere Dee and her team gave us ideas that we never even considered with the renovation. She opened our eyes to new ways of thinking about issues and was also able to guide us around cost challenges. Things we thought would be expensive, weren’t while other ideas we thought we needed weren't worth the cost. For example the wall between the living and den (now turned dining room) instead of removing the wall entirely, is now a half wall. Also the end of that half wall now includes a beautiful wine rack that Dee created due to an inspiration photo of a wine room we visited while on vacation. It took a do nothing wall to one of the prettiest features of the renovation! In addition to all of that, her team provided detailed layouts plans, lighting plans and color and tile plans that the contractors worked from, which helped clear confusion during construction. Her team was also on site at least once weekly during construction, usually more often inspecting the progress and working with our general contractor. Our home is now so beautiful, so relaxing and is a true chef’s dream. Thank you so much to Dee and her team, we cannot recommend them highly enough.

We waited for years to decorate our formal living room. After working with D’Kor on our project, we wish we would have done it years ago. The process was fun and the results are amazing. We look forward to the next project.

Lori at D'Kor home has been helping me to decorate my home for the last 4 years. With working and 3 little ones at home it hard to find the the time to decorate. I've had the pleasure of working with Dee for nearly two years now. First, she and I worked on ideas for a remodel. She brought in a trusted contractor to draw up the ideas and provide costs. Once I determined a new home was a better fit for us given construction and local code limitations, as well as changing real estate market dynamics, Dee helped me make my final decision on a new home purchase. Because she began our original remodel engagement by getting to know my likes/dislikes and my family needs, her input on our final home purchase was invaluable. Once the home was purchased, she helped me with some updating and the build-out of a new room, advising me on everything from paint colors and carpet selections, to an accent wall makeover and a fireplace facade overhaul. Dee helped me pick out furniture for several interior rooms and an outside living area. Had I wanted a clean slate, Dee would have started there, but because I had some pieces I treasured, she helped me incorporate them into the rooms we worked on. Dee sees her work as ongoing, if that is what her client desires. When I'm ready, we add a new room or area to start working on, picking up where we last left off. Dee always presents several options aligned with my preferences - and they are always within my established budget. My only complaint here is that they are often all good and we have to choose just one. Installation has been impeccable, as has overall customer service from everyone on her team. Best of all, Dee gets that: 1.) we're raising two boys and 2.) have two inside dogs we consider family. As such, she provides smart construction, finish, fabric and protection treatment recommendations that are realistic for the way we live. We recently relocated to the area from out of state. Dee made the process extremely easy as she discovered what we needed in our new home, what items we would be bringing with us and our budget. Dee toured our new home alone and presented her project plans to us over Zoom. I was surprised how easy this process was by working with Dee. Upon our arrival to our new home, Dee and her team had already installed the selected items. The day after our arrival, Dee came to visit us to ensure everything was fine and made some additional recommendations with the items we brought with us. We have an additional project we will be working with Dee on in 2021 !!!

Dee and her team were amazing. During the first visit, Dee discovered our needs and what styles and colors we liked. When Dee presented her designs, she landed on exactly we were looking for in our rooms. We could have not been more delighted with the finished projects. I will echo what others said about Lori Yusten, who was my designer. I will heap praise on her work because of her obvious dedication, efficiency, and professionalism. I had never before used an interior design firm for a large project such as I planned. I had moved into my new house, and needed lots of updating in the master bedroom and window treatments for the living room. I must say, it was quite an adventure, because I have learned, with Lori's help, what is current and attainable. At some point over the years, I decided I needed an eclectic look for the main parts of my home. This was partly due to the ethnic pieces I moved from my prior home, and partly because I was doing a complete makeover of the bedroom, where I had free reign. I shared a couple of inspiration photos with Lori, photos that came right off this web site. I was amazed that she was able to come close to this look, especially where bed coverings were concerned. Decorating Den truly has some amazing suppliers, and they take care of every detail of the installation, including moving the bed away from the wall when you are preparing for a little wallpaper to go up. It was a wonderful experience, and I enjoyed working with Lori. If you are a homeowner who can visualize well, and look at pieces and accessories from pictures and small samples, rather than needing to go to the floor of a showroom, you will do well with Decorating Den. For the look I wanted and needed, there must be plenty of textures and patterns, and Lori made sure I got my dream rooms. Good job, Decorating Den!

We retained the Frazier Team last summer to help us with a large redecorating and remodeling project in our main living and dining areas. We have been extremely pleased with our experience in working with Dee and her capable team and contractors. We love our new reception area - Lori was great to work with, she asked all the right questions, took the time to really listen and came to us with items we loved!

We had Lori Yusten come to our home and give some ideas about changes in our living areas. She was awesome!! We started with our consultation appt. in mid October. We added drapery in our formal living area (which by the way turned out stunningly beautiful). We changed the rug, sofa and tables in our family room, also adding another accent table. The colors Lori suggested were just beautiful and uplifting. Lori was so conscientious about deadlines and keeping within our budget. She guided us every step of the way, keeping in touch as we went through the whole project. With the holidays in the middle of our make over it was the first part of January when everything was done but we knew to expect this and was perfectly fine with that. We are so pleased with everything and would recommend Decoration Den and LORI YUSTEN over and over again.

Our entire upstairs was in need of an extreme makeover. Our daughters had grown from little girls into young ladies. We got rid of all the toys, dolls, kiddie furniture and general clutter in our game room and were left with a large, empty room with no soul. Dee and her team toured the space and offered suggestions and provided multiple designs for us to choose from as we are a bit challenged when it comes to home décor. While the main scope of the project was the game room, Dee also provided suggestions for updates to the entire upstairs including painting every room and updating the stairway leading from the first floor to the upstairs. Dee walked us through each design and prepared 3D renderings to help us visualize the finished space. Once we made all of our selections, she prepared an estimate and walked us through the schedule. We were thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the contractor and the attention to detail and care they took throughout the construction phase of the project. Most satisfying was that they stayed in budget and on schedule. We could not be happier with the result - it far exceeded our expectations. Our family is so excited to have a space we can enjoy together that also provides a separate space for our daughters and their friends to hang out. We would highly recommend Dee and her team to anyone considering a home renovation.

We were struggling to decorate our new family area incorporating our diverse types of furniture and furnishings. Lori came to our house and spent such patient time with us discussing our needs. She returned in a timely manner and again spent much time with us picking out the design and fabrics for sofa and loveseat and pillows. She also brought us great choices of consoles and bookcases. My designer was Lori. She spent several hours with me in the initial interview and was obviously listening intently, because the second meeting were her suggestions for my family room. She presented nothing I disliked, and together, we selected the styles and fabrics for our living space. The delivery was actually early and very professionally handled. We engaged Decorating Den to assist with our kitchen update. Our consultant helped select colors and styles that could help transition without a starting from scratch. She recommended a great contractor who gave us additional great ideas and their bid came in comparable to other contractors who would have charged about the same and done less. The consulting fee was also built into our bid from the contractor. We are very happy with the end results and we are very happy we had Decorating Den to guide us in the right direction.

If you're like me, you want a look or style but have no clue where to start; and, the style you're going for inherently clashes with the architecture of the house. The Frazier team can most definitely help. I've had never used an interior decorator before. My family was moving from California to Texas so we were hard pressed to get recommendations for our new destination. I decided to search through Houzz. Have you ever done that before? There are an overwhelming number of professionals from which to choose. I had to rely on the pro's introduction and more importantly, the reviews. But, you can never tell until you actually work with them. So, you should at least meet them before you commit. I feel fortunate to have selected Dee. I met her the first time, before we moved to Texas while we were on a "site inspection." She came to meet us at the house. I was immediately drawn to her warmth and professionalism. She made us feel comfortable while she explained how the process and projects with her work. She was open about the pricing and why. More importantly, she immediately interviewed us to determine our style. Dee helped get our house ready to move in, while we were still in California. She works with contractors who are also reasonable and professional. You'll always feel you're in good hands with The Frazier Team. They are very responsive and never pushy. They work within your budget. Dee helped us furnish 5 areas (made media room serve multi-purpose as a guest room, the study, family room/living area, informal dining area and master bedroom). She also helped pick paint colors for the flooring for the rest of house because while she did not furnish the rest of the house, we had her recommended contractor replace all of the carpets with hardwood and painted all of the cabinetry in the house. She worked with that contractor to ensure the colors and any issues were addressed. We are very pleased with working with Dee and her team and are very happy with the results.

I have worked with Dee and her team over the past 18 months for design work throughout my home. The results have been simply stunning. Dee spent a lot of time understanding our likes and dislikes and truly blending them together to come up with a beautiful design mix that blends the taste of both my husband and me.. She started on our master bedroom which combined simplicity, romance, and serenity. Then she added a nice surprise on our ceiling treatment with a custom design that is just fabulous. Dee has pulled from her knowledge of me and my hubby to bring swatches and furniture selections that she knows we will like, which really makes the process much easier. We have had the pleasure to work with Dee on our master bedroom, living room and dining room. She has an amazing ability to design the rooms to exactly fit our wants and needs. We couldn't tell her exactly what our design tastes were or exactly what we wanted but she was still able to design our dream rooms. Dee is great because she not only creates the design, but she handles the scheduling of any contractors that are needed and is also hands on with every aspect of the design install. We were always worried the we wouldn't be able to picture what the final result would be, but when Dee uses her "magic" software we were able to see exactly what the rooms would look like. Not only did she take us out shopping for artwork but she also came up with a great idea with getting our kids involved with the design by having them create some paintings that hang prominently in the dining room.
