Darlene helped us with our interior in 2020. We did our living room dining room combination. Darlene was very helpful and took us out of our comfort zone with style , color, and artwork . We love it and are enjoying it 5 years later! Thank you Darlene!

Early fall 2020, Darlene and her team of professional craftsmen helped us to sell our 4 bdrm Milton family home for top dollar. Darlene began with a complete evaluation of our home and recommended key upgrades. Although there was a lot to do (we had been living in the home for 20+ years), Darlene provided clear directions together with detailed estimates for each step of the process, which made it easy to envision and begin the renovations (2 full bathrooms and a powder rm plus laundry room together with repainting/refinishing walls and ceilings throughout the house). Immediately after reaching an agreement on the scope of work, Darlene’s team together with various subcontractors began work while Darlene sourced building materials and finishings. Thanks to her excellent planning and organization, the job began promptly in early September and was completely finished only a month later in early October. When the renovations were completed, Darlene staged the house with a beautiful combination of new fixtures together with some of our own furnishings. The high quality renovations together with the expert staging made the finished house look both polished and inviting. The result was that our home was on the market for 3 days and we received 4 offers, one of which we accepted. We hired DG Interiors to design, plan & execute our home renovation. A project of this scale requires planning & management for a successful result. We updated the main floor & finished a large basement. The kitchen was opened up into the great room, a functional mudroom, servery & laundry room. Designs were drawn up with elevation drawings showing us how it would look once completed. DG Interiors pulled together an exceptional team of contractors & trades. DG completed the sourcing of materials, finishings & furnishings on time. It was great having someone take care of orders, deliveries in a timely manner to keep the project on schedule. Darlene, together with the contractors she brought in to do the job, took on the project of the renovation of our main bathroom. The process was seemless and we were very thankful to leave the project in her trusting hands. She took on all tasks from start to finish. We wanted limited involvement in the process and felt confident and comfortable in knowing that Darlene’s expertise and attention to detail would result in the perfect outcome. We contacted several other design/decorating companies and we were told the budget we had in mind to decorate our 2,200 sq. ft home wasn't enough and that we needed to look elsewhere and then came Darlene who from the very start put our minds at ease. Further to having a limited budget we also had a tight timeline in which to work with because we were moving in to our new home two months from the date we originally contacted her. Not only was she able to work with the budget we set forth she was able to complete the project within the tight deadline. With all that said, the final results left us speechless. Our place looked immaculate, like something out of a magazine. She nailed it !!!!! Everything was coordinated and put together extremely well. No detail was sparred; light fixtures, decorative furniture, bedding, rugs, beautiful artwork, closet redesign/storage solutions, fire place upgrade from builder specs, and so much more. We have hired Darlene Phillips for a few different roles-property management, staging and design consultation. We love working with Darlene-she is reliable, practical, honest and has a fantastic style. She expects a lot from herself and expects the same from her subs. SOLD IN 4 DAYS ! We had our house on the market for 2 months, and after hearing the feedback from prospective buyers, we decided to call in a professional stager. Our first meeting with Darlene was relaxed and refreshing. She was professional yet compassionate. She knows what sellers are going through and quickly got a sense of what we could and couldn't live with. Based on her knowledge and experience regarding what buyers are looking for, she quickly determined what changes needed to be made. Working with Darlene, we felt we were her #1 priority. When it was time to list our home for sale we called Darlene Phillips from Home Decorating Solutions, a Certified Staging Professional, CCSP and ResaPro. During her assessment, Darlene quickly pointed out the things in our home that needed some attention. Details that buyers would be looking for. She brought in her team to do some repairs and updates which they did very efficiently and professionally. She then showcased our home which included furniture placement and ensured that the focal point of each room was highlighted. She focused on the lifestyle she knew buyers wanted to aspire to with the decor and finishing touches. We really enjoyed working with Darlene and her team throughout this process. We learned a lot, worked really hard and are very happy with the end result.

New Home Build We recently purchased a new home that is being built for us. This is a new experience for us and we immediately called Darlene from Home Decorating Solutions to help us manage the process. It can be very overwhelming as there are hundreds of decisions that have to be made in a timely manner in order to not hold up construction. They are also very costly decisions and ones we would have to live with for a very long time. Darlene put a plan in place that helped us meet the builders timelines for each of the key phases of construction. She recommended design changes and improvements to floor plans to ensure space was effectively utilized and our storage and organization needs were met. She recommended finishings that are beautiful and reflect our lifestyle. We met several times to discuss our needs and to better understand some of the new functionality and finishings homes can have today. She went out of her way to find finishings that the builders suppliers did not have in stock to ensure we got what we wanted. We can't wait to see our home complete.
