About Us

Design has always been a part of my life. As a small child I would always be moving furniture around my room or painting giant murals on my walls. I decided to follow my creative side and enrolled in the Interior Design program at BCIT. I received my Certification of Interior Design in 2013, then quickly enrolled in the Diploma Program, graduating in 2015. For the past 8 years I have continued to develop my skills and experience in the Interior Design world. I have worked with one of the top Interior Design firms in the Lower Mainland and for a Vancouver firm that specializes in Historical Preservation. Now I am excited to continue to grow my own company, Dash Of Light. Let me help you take your project from an idea to reality. I will present you with cohesive plans for all interiors and exteriors. Working with Brittany as our designer has been a wonderful experience. She was professional, patient and helped transfer our house into a home. When we moved into our older house, my Husband and I were looking for tips to help make it feel like home and refresh the existing look. Having young children made me look for practical and timely changes to our place. Brittany listened to our concerns and worked with us to come up with some solutions. Taking into consideration our time and budget Brittany pulled flooring and paint options to our liking and was able to help us navigate the endless material and colour choices. After constantly putting our space last, my husband and I decided we needed a bedroom make over. Brittany created a beautiful design with colors and textures we never would have thought of. She asked for dimensions and brought an initial design before even coming in. She made adjustments based on our likes and dislikes and helped us purchase different pieces at the best prices. We are thrilled with our new space that feels more like a retreat now!

Having lived in our 45 year old home for 35 years it was desperately in need of a Reno but we had no idea of where to start or what to do . This is when we called Brittany. Obviously this was the best decision we could have made !! Our Reno included the Kitchen, Living room, Dining room, 3 Bathrooms, Guest room , Laundry room as well as the Entrance Way . Brittany listened to the thoughts & wishes we had, guiding us in the right direction .....even though at times we couldn’t envision the final look . After seeing her expert drawings/ plans we put our faith in her & we are so glad we did.
