Although our kitchen update was a small project for Deborah and with our budget restaurants there was only so much we could do it turned out so much better than I could have imagined. Every detail addressed. Deborah was able to find all the components needed and tradesmen to accomplish the kitchen of my dreams.

Working with Deborah Vieira Design has been perhaps the best decision we’ve made as homeowners. The experience of walking in your front door and feeling at peace in your surroundings is amazing. Deborah got to know our family and designed beautiful, unfussy living spaces that fit the way we live. Not only does she have impeccable taste, but she is also warm, gracious, and collaborative. Deborah is a consummate professional – her process is transparent and she is accessible, responsive, and completely open to feedback and iteration. Deborah transformed our house into a home and we feel deeply lucky to have found her.

There are many moving parts when going through a home remodel and the stresses of even the simplest things can become overwhelming….unless you are working with Deborah Vieira Design. We really lucked out when our neighbors, who recently went through a major home renovation, introduced us to their designer, Deborah Vieira. Wow! From our first conversation with her, we knew she was who we wanted to work with. Her calm demeanor is something everyone needs throughout the design/remodeling process. She's has a wealth knowledge, wearing the many hats needed as a project moves forward. We knew we needed a person who could balance the aspects of architecture, interior design, floor plan design/3D modeling, city permitting (it’s a maze!), coordination with contractors and engineers, kitchen functionality and design, etc. Our house is not an easy project by any means. While I’ve seen her work in regard to more contemporary built home projects which turned out beautifully, we have the opposite situation in a 1930’s traditional Tudor, which is a bit a of Winchester Mystery House that took A LOT of looking into and thought. No easy breezy planning here at all, with previously unaccessed attic spaces, various intersecting floor levels, dormers, traditional details to cherish, multiple patio and deck needs, plus adding some square footage as well. Not to mention all the systems needed updating. Deborah took it all in stride, with enthusiasm and a creative mind. While we are not done yet, Deborah has made our remodeling experience quite pleasant so far, with responsive and well thought out communication. She’s consistently cheerful and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a designer. She is the best!

Deborah provided the design and help with identifying a superb contractor for our kitchen and first floor remodel late 2019. The design and remodel turned out fantastic – a beautiful and excellent use of space that has been integral to our family during times at home, and, more recently, for larger get togethers. She was responsive, answered many questions and provided great ideas for the cabinet layout, and design of the island and pantry.

Deborah was an absolutely lovely person to work with - despite a pandemic, home schooling 4 kids and doing her own remodel - she always remained cheerful, calm and thoughtful throughout our whole remodel. She thoughtfully took us through the whole process, was careful to explain financial costs/benefits of different decisions, offered great design/layout suggestions and capably pointed us in the direction of different material options and kept the design process very collaborative. Deborah was also good at creating a timeline and managing all the paperwork. My husband and I strongly recommend Deborah.

We have had a great experience with Deborah through the entire planning, design, and permit process for our whole house remodel. It was great to have interior design considerations from the inception of the planning process, and she has come up with ideas that are very creative and functional at the same time. She is always pleasant and clear in her communication, and has a nice balance of proposing ideas and understanding our preferences. She has remained patient with us during the design process with all of our peculiarities and requests, and has handled the challenges posed by the pandemic with aplomb. We are thrilled to have gotten through the permit process, and we look forward to the next phase of our project. We absolutely recommend working with Deborah.

We LOVE Deb. She came highly recommended by our contractor and we could see why from the first phone call. We debated between hiring an architect vs an interior designer -- Deb was the best of both worlds -- an interior designer who could draw and permit plans for a home addition. She had a unique ability to contemplate the interior utility and beauty of the home and balance that with the architectural requirements. Also, what sets her apart is that she REALLY listens and is able to provide a very customized service. The architects we talked to all wanted a down payment before they would discuss ideas - with Deb, our first session was a brainstorming session that allowed us to see if her style and ideas suited our project. We found that she had the best and most creative ideas, and was really sensitive to keep the project within our budget and accommodate our rushed timeframe. She stayed true to her word on delivery of drawings despite being incredibly busy. We were so pleased with the final result. Deb is truly a gem to work with and there is nothing she cannot help with. We cannot recommend her enough!

I wholeheartedly recommend Deborah and her design work in every way! She is creative, skillful, responsive, patient and flexible. At my request, she created three alternative layouts for a tricky master bath/closet remodel in limited space. Her design will transform the room. She quickly resolves any product issues and communicates well with contractors. I've worked with other designers on prior homes and Deborah is by far the most talented and delightful. I am fortunate to have found Deborah and look forward to working with her on future projects.

We loved working with Deborah! Our lot is small and quite narrow so to find a design that was going to maximize space, but still be compliant was very tricky. She was very patient with us as we tried to sort out what we really wanted as a final design and explained why certain things could be done and why others could not. She absolutely knows the ins and outs of what is permitted and what is not from the city. I enjoyed collaborating with her very much, she was tireless, always cheerful, and always on time. She was a pleasure to work with!!

Deborah helped transform my original 3 bedroom / 1 bath traditional ranch style home into a modern 4 bedroom / 2 bath custom home in Campbell California. Her work was impeccable throughout the designing process as she helped transform my high level ideas into tangible plans that meet all city requirements.
