Design by Girasole

We have never used an interior designer, but decided to hire David because he was recommended by a friend. Best decision we made during our renovation. David designed two bathrooms and a kitchen, but also provided much needed input into a mudroom design. His expertise was invaluable and he has an incredible talent and eye for design. From the beginning to the end of our lengthy project, David was so wonderful to work with--patient with us, never pushy, insightful about new ideas and layout, professional, and kind. He is truly the perfect person to partner with--we could not recommend more highly or enthusiastically! Hire him!

Had a great experience working with David to convert an existing family room/den to a kitchen space. He is very thoughtful and listened to what we were trying to accomplish and nudged gently and appropriately when it became clear that we weren't sure exactly what we were trying to accomplish. He is exceptional with his responsiveness to communications, and the design of the kitchen fits well with the style of the existing home. Our actual contractor was an unfortunate choice (my fault) but the suppliers that David works with are excellent, especially countertop fabricators/installers (Angelo's in SW Philadelphia). All projects have their ups and downs, but in the end David kept us on-track. I would absolutely recommend and work with him again.

I have worked with David on several projects, in the realm of bathroom and kitchen tile specifying. He is great with his clients and knows how to translate a groups mind-melt of ideas into one final beautiful execution. Great to work with!

David Girasole is a very talented designer. We used him for a major kitchen renovation and couldn’t be happier with his contributions. Having never worked with a designer previously, we weren’t sure what to expect. As soon as we saw David’s portfolio, we knew he was the right person for us. We could tell by the variety of styles he’s done that he listens to the wants and needs of his clients. David came up with three layouts that were completely different approaches to the space. He thought about what types of things we needed to store and figured out how much and what type of storage we needed as a result. Once we chose an overall design that was best for us, he helped us choose doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, flooring, backsplash tile, etc. We would have been overwhelmed by all the choices available if it were not for his ability to keep us focused and sort through options. He has a wonderful eye and has a great sense of how different parts work together in the space. David answered and addressed our endless questions and layout tweaks with an always pleasant manner. When I purchased a beverage fridge on sale that had a door swing in the wrong direction, David not only identified the issue timely, but came up with an incredibly creative solution for our bar area layout that we love even more than what was originally planned. We will definitely be working with David again on a future bathroom project.

We were delighted to have David Girasole agree to help us after seeing the excellent work he had done in our daughter's Powelton Village bathroom/laundry remodel. David's help was invaluable in our move from a large 5 bedroom house in Massachusetts to a condo on Rittenhouse Square. Not only did David provide guidance in choosing paint colors, wallpaper, and carpeting, but he coordinated and supervised all the work while we were still in Massachusetts. Upon moving, David designed furniture placement in the new space, selected and hung our art work and family photos and suggested window treatments. David worked with us on renovating the kitchen in our circa 1870 converted stable/carriage house. There were significant challenges including an immovable weight-bearing column and a large electrical panel located on one wall. His sense of design, form and function were spot-on. He did considerable leg work to find the perfect cabinet style and manufacturer and came up with solutions that improved the look and function of the room. Importantly, he always listened to us and worked well with our contractor. We couldn't have been more pleased!
