This was a MAJOR renovation and update. We chose to do this as an alternative to downsizing. We like the house, the neighbors and the neighborhood. We found Mari by word-of-mouth; I consider it one of the best things that could have happened. We built the house almost 30 years ago and we need to redo everything. Under Mari’s guidance, we updated everything; opened the floorplan, a complete new country kitchen, renovated all the bathrooms, new floors (hardwood, tile and carpet, new lighting, redecorated…the list keeps going. We hired Mari as our consultant. She worked very hard to understand what we wanted and liked. She interfaced with the builder and all the contractors that were required to get the job done. When there was an issue Mari took the lead and made sure all the work, being done met her very high standards. This is where hiring an experienced professional pays off. She simply would not take no for an answer. It has been almost exactly a year and the project is almost done except for a few decorating details. We are ecstatic with our new old home. Hiring Distinctive Interiors By Mari was one of the best decisions we could have made.

Mari is helping us decorate - furnish from soup to nuts, really - our new, post-kids house. She has wonderful ideas, understands colors and patterns and has an amazing knack for pulling it all together without looking over-matched. I especially appreciate the way she understands my husband’s more serious style and my desire for something refreshing, unexpected and whimsical here and there. We are both thrilled with how it’s coming. She also has a great sense of where to spend up and when to economize. I highly recommend her. She is also a lot of fun which goes a long way in my opinion.

Mari is the most professional designer I have ever had the opportunity to work with. Her expertise and experience is second tp none. Will be hiring Mari again for my next project. She is the best.

Mari will help you with the small or large jobs. I have used her to help on a complete bar remodel(photos attached) as well as several small job like selecting light fixtures, carpet color, paint colors for rooms, and decorating ideas.

Mari is wonderful--she really has the eye for putting colors, furniture, objects and paint together. My husband and I have been so happy with every project that Mari has helped us on. Now I won't do anything around our home design-wise without first consulting Mari.

I have know Mari for several years. I am single male, so need help with color schemes as I have no ability. She first gets to know her client, their likes and dislikes. Their lifestyle. She then goes about designing your home to fit you. She is always spot on. She knows exactly what I want, even though When she suggests it, I may think I won't like it. Then wham it's perfect. Any designer can give you the designer look, just pick up a magazine and duplicate it. Mari is unbelievable gifted as a designer. I've worked with probably a dozen designers over the years on both residential and commercial. Most designers tend to put their own style in the project instead of the customers. But not Mari. She truly listens to you and is careful about budget. She puts the $$ where it makes more of a difference. She never had a problem if you tell her no not right. She works at it to get it perfect.
