Dixon Designs has completed two beautiful projects for me. Mary is experienced, creative, thoughtful, and thorough. My rooms are not only beautiful and clearly custom, but she has an exceptional eye for functional details.

Mary at Mary Dixon Designs has helped us to love our home even more. We wanted to modernize my office with masculine undertones and boy did Mary hit the mark. The window treatments, desk and oversized lounge chair create a warm yet strong feel. The custom designed and built Ottman with desk is a home run. Mary was equally impressive with the update and remodel of our dining room. The grass cloth wall paper she selected is stunning. A special gift of Mary’s is lighting. The design ideas and fixtures have made both rooms special features of our home. Our reimagined rooms aren’t off the shelf ideas but truly custom with our personalities. My husband and I moved into a patio home and needed help with design and decorating. It was a pleasure working with Mary she was able to incorporate several family heirlooms with new furniture. Mary was professional and knowledgeable.

There’s not enough space here to sing Mary’s praises. We have used her on several projects and recently remodeled a large master bath. Mary’s designs are absolutely beautiful, but we can say just as much for her service and customer satisfaction. Typically remodeling is very stressful. However, Mary dealt with the contractor and all of the workers making it completely effortless for us. She even called the contractor on some of his prices ultimately saving us money. Mary is dedicated to perfection and she doesn’t stop until everything is perfect. Just meet with her one time and you’ll know how exceptional she is.

We have used Mary for many years and many projects. I can’t recommend her highly enough. This year, with a brand new high-rise condominium, we needed her more than ever. The biggest part of the project so far has been remolding a very large master bathroom. We hired Mary as the designer and hired a contractor to handle the construction end of things. Ultimately, Mary handled everything. She is the one who made sure the workers showed up and did everything to perfection. If something was not right she had them redo it. She even called the contractor on vastly overcharging us in some areas - ultimately saving us thousands. I never had to hassle with the workers or the contractor. As expected, the new bathroom is simply stunning.

I worked with Mary on a new construction home. Completing a whole house design. I meet with Mary to discuss design ideas and concepts. After her initial interview with me she was off and running. After many hours on her part of searching and identifying amazing items we meet again to go over the design plans and choices. Mary took my feedback and tweaked the design that we had agreed on. This was a painless project for me. Mary took control of all aspects of the project. Ordering all products, staging and assembly. Once the items were complete Mary did a complete install over two days including custom window treatments. And also added a few special unknown touches that pulled the whole project together. Design exceeded my expectations by a mile. An amazing Modern Industrial vibe. Mary was very professional, always keeping me updated and provided an amazing final project. I have already referred a friend to Dixon Designs. We were so happy with the finished product of the work Mary Dixon managed in our home. That included new Countertops, backsplash, sink, light fixtures in the kitchen, and painting of living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway. She was very accommodating with regard to the pandemic and postponing work until we felt comfortable with having the work done. Mary was an absolute pleasure to work with! Mary came out and helped us pick materials for new flooring - hardwood and carpet. She is very professional, responsive and has a great eye. She also shared some great ideas for other changes. We decided to wallpaper our dining room and the back of some living room shelves. She brought many options to choose from, helped with selection and then arranged installation from start to finish. It was a very smooth process and we were very happy with the end result.

Mary has designed and decorated several spaces for us over the last couple of years and she impresses us more each time. She has designed our dining room, foyer, kitchen lighting, powder room and just completed a cozy study nook in our basement. Her vision and creativity is truly unparalleled! Over the years I have hired and collaborated with numerous interior designers to assist me in home improvement projects/enhancements. While I have experienced great success in the outcome of most of the projects, in most cases almost all decisions and research fell on me to complete prior to the project commencing. In most cases the work involved was time consuming and frustrating due to all the details and decisions required, in addition to the management of contractors in my home. Much to my delight, my recent experience with Mary Dixon as the project designer for this home was quite the opposite. Mary is the consummate professional who approaches her projects with extensive knowledge of quality products and design trends, while at the same time she determines what the client's style and goals are before creating a plan. Mary utilizes a turn key process and system to ensure all project details are addressed and planned with the utmost attention to deadlines and scheduling. The contractor she initially suggested for the project was not the person finally chosen for the job. Mary was dissatisfied with the quote provided so she sought out other contractors until she found the right person for the project, one with the quality, experience and pricing consistent with the project. needs and my budget. Mary saw the project through from consultation to design, to planning and hiring the contractor, to executing the oversight of the work and its completion. I merely had to watch and admire the process and results. Aside from Mary's professional approach, expertise and attention to every detail, she was a delight to work with. She is quite creative, thorough, patient, and considerate of her clients needs and the home she is working in. This project was truly a pleasure in very way.
