About Us

At Duffy's Designs, we strive to achieve our clients personality and lifestyle in the design plan we create for them.. We try to incorporate as much of their personal belongings as required into a new, fresh, exciting plan that fulfills their expectations. Principal designer, Lynn Harland, is hand's on in all aspects of the design process. We have the ability to do space plans for furniture/kitchen/bath drawings on AutoCAD. We have the best sub-contractors in the business and because of our long standing relationships with furniture manufacturers and workrooms, we can design or purchase just about anything a new project requires. Working with all different styles and budgets, we are dedicated in making your project your personal oasis. Lynn is a former President of the San Diego chapter of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), on the Board at Design Institute, San Diego and a guest instructor. Lynn has participated in fifteen designer showcase homes. Lynn is proud to be NCIDQ qualified and one of fifty selected in the United States to grade NCIDQ Interior design qualification tests. Lynn is studying for her green certificate and has participated in Senior Living projects. First place winner 2012 ASID, Residential Design under 3500 Square feet.

I have worked with Duffy's Designs on multiple projects over 15+ years. Lynn has always had a great, positive attitude. Her knowledge of available products is up to date. She has great ideas for the the whole house. She can design furniture layouts to cabinets. Lynn can work with whatever budget you have and works diligently to meet deadlines. I have had her help with recovering a couple of chairs,room layouts and cabinet design to ordering new furniture for multiple rooms. She is wonderful at window treatments as well. She has handled paint and wall finishes in multiple homes. Lynn has worked easily with my architect and builder on several projects. Lynn's help has saved me from mistakes with paint colors, her furniture layouts always make the best use of the furniture and space. She has evaluated potential houses for us, giving us good advice on style elements. I would never consider using any designer other than Lynn on any future project.

We have worked with Duffy's Designs for a long time, beginning with assistance during new home construction and more recently with updating. Duffy's Designs is responsive and extremely professional with both interior color, floor coverings, interior & exterior furnishings, as well as attention to budget. They work well with transition and adapting to existing design; they are extremely versatile. They are attuned to working with a variety of styles. I highly recommend Duffy's Designs. You will be very pleased.

I have known Lynn Harland of Duffy's Design for at least 20 years and her work at my home and friends has been excellent. She is very professional and has held many positions including President of San Diego's ASID. She goes over and beyond for her clients. She's always has very creative, interesting ideas and it's fun to work with her. She worked on a major remodel at my home including the space design and continues with ongoing projects at my residence since I've lived here for 37 years. E.E.F.

A relaxed elegance—just what I had envisioned! We thoroughly enjoyed our collaboration with Lynn Harland of Duffy’s Designs, and LOVE the result! Lynn is the best! She listens, first of all. So that you have a plan and and a direction that suits your style, respects your budget and fulfills your home design dreams! In remodeling our town home, we completely redid our kitchen and bathrooms, replaced flooring, light fixtures, and window coverings throughout and added some key furniture pieces. I completely trusted Lynn—and the exceptional result reflects her guidance and vision throughout the process! And, when the damage of our new dining room table in shipping threatened an imminent family wedding reception, Lynn’s resourcefulness saved the day! Lynn is traditional, but au courant—the result feels comfortable and warm, with touches that are unexpected and young. A consummate professional, talented and experienced, Lynn has a delightful personality—I recommend her and Duffy’s Designs without hesitation!
