Christina and Sean made our complete cottage renovation and addition so much easier than we thought it would be. Christina’s building design plans were thoughtful and practical. Her design selections showed she had listened to our preferences and our choices represented her professional eye. Sean’s knowledge of all building issues spoke to his experience and skills. Our ledge stone fireplace that he built is beautiful. Both Sean and Christina were quick to respond to all questions and concerns both by phone and email. All issues were handled quickly. This was our first large project and we would use the Duperron’s again in a heartbeat!

We recently purchased a "fixer upper" and hired Christina to help give us some ideas on how to utilize the vast space's we had to work with for our kitchen/dining area, as well as master suite and bath. Christina brought several designs to the table for us look over until we decided on a final. All her layouts were fantastic and functional. Christina is very friendly and easy to work with you. We look forward to using her skills on future projects.

We really enjoyed working with Christina and absolutely love the way our remodeled bathroom came out. Her suggestions on tile selection and color were spot on, and we just love our new shower!

Christina helped me layout a remodel of our kitchen in our cottage. Very tiny 30 year old kitchen. She was always on time and listened to what I was wanting. Enjoyed her ideas....she's very friendly...would use her services again!

Tight space and tighter budget encouraged me to seek professional help. Christina modernized the space but left that 1950's feel. We rent out our cottage and feedback from renters has been extremely positive.

Christina (Duperron Designs) and her husband Sean (Great Northern Homes) are a great team in their business. They bring the best of both design and construction with their work. They did a truly quality job and paid extra attention to detail to ensure the job was done right. We had some specific items that we wanted such as stacked stone backsplash in our kitchen and a silgranite sink that they made sure were done exactly as we wanted. They hired seasoned sub-contractors and produced a beautiful and quality outcome. Christina coordinated the decorating choices and made paint, flooring, tile, etc. all work together beautifully. They updated our kitchen (using existing cabinets), flooring throughout the house, paint throughout the house, fireplace hearth, and new countertops, floors and fixtures in all the baths. A 1990s beautiful A-Frame has come alive again.

My company worked in cooperation with Duperron Designs Inc. for a residential client in Honor, MI. Christina was wonderful to work with, and her clients appreciated her forethought for suggesting the application of solar control window film to protect interior furnishings and flooring. We worked together to fit her client with a 99.9% UV filtering invisible window film to meet objectives.

Christina is excellent at utilizing space and personal pieces to their maximum. We added on to our lake cottage to make it our permanent home. She made the best use of space and turned our previous home furniture into "lake home" furniture with new fabrics and room arrangements. She gave our cottage a lake home look and feel. Christina is able to take total control over choosing materials and furnishings for presentation to the homeowner; or she is happy to do this research in tandem with the homeowner. I really appreciate when she emails me various links for furnishings: I print out six I like, we discuss the pros & cons then come to a decision. Or I might find something on my own and ask for her honest opinion when it comes to size, color, material and style. She had the difficult task of designing a small space with 3 functions: office, laundry and utility storage. She presented me with 4 layouts; I pondered the pros & cons of each design and chose one that works beautifully for me. Most importantly she is well organized and has a tried and true system for designing a space. She is experienced enough to ask the right questions of the homeowner so that good decisions are made. Christina did an excellent job not only designing my dream kitchen but she anticipated my needs on items I had no idea I would want or need. For example she suggested a cabinet dedicated to baking sheets which I would have never thought of. Additionally she designed our Master Bedroom remodel and once again suggested a light be placed in the closet. I never thought too much about the light but I can say it is used every day and really helps me determine if a pair of pants is black or navy blue! I can't recommend her enough she did an absolutely fantastic job on our remodel.
