Earth and Images' evolution is in tune with the ever-changing world of design and taste. For over twenty years our store has been providing beautiful and unique home furnishings to the Valley and beyond, most people find it hard to believe we've been in business since 1992! Creativity and good taste will always be hallmarks and an aspiration to achieve and we continue to deliver this for our clients. We find pleasure in providing our patrons a lifestyle and items that will bring them happiness, fulfillment, and joy for years to come. Isabel is familiar with its history from 2001, when Vilma Besch, who was the owner at the time, approached her to do freelance display. At the time she was working full-time as an assistant to Harold Foust at the wonderful lifestyle store Pleasantries—and she embraced the opportunity to “do her own thing!” The merchandising reworks is where the principles and techniques Isabel learned at Pleasantries evolved, and she developed her own personal style of merchandising. In 2007, Vilma wanted to retire, and through a serendipitous weaving of life and work connections, Isabel landed exactly where she was supposed to be…as the new owner of Earth and Images. The transition was relatively seamless because their approach to design was similar and she was familiar with the store’s clients. In the summer of 2015, after a 23-year tenure in the Scottsdale Design Center, a new chapter began as Earth and Images moved to a jewel box of a space at The Shops at Fifth Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale. It has big beautiful windows which we absolutely love- as well as how alive and busy the area is! We are enjoying it more than we imagined we would! Come find us at 5th Avenue and Marshall Way.
