About Us

Inspired residential interior design with an emphasis on offering value added services & accessible sustainable product options. Services range from single consultations to multi-room makeovers that may include integrating & repurposing existing furnishings. As a Certified Green AP designer, Ev is an advocate of ‘doing well by doing good’. In presenting decorating/design options to her clients that include ‘eco-friendly’ choices, she provides her clients the opportunity to make a positive difference in their personal living surroundings, address environmental health considerations, and contribute to our planet’s well-being. Just one decision during the home improvement process that leaves a positive footprint on our use of natural resources or regard for the environment, when combined with similar actions by others, creates a legacy on our & our successors' quality of life. Ev's prior experience as an Entertainment & Music attorney has provided her invaluable transferable skills such as attention to detail, creative problem solving, follow through, active listening, & working successfully with a broad spectrum of personalities. A successful interior design practice requires the application of both business practices & creativity.

I worked with Ev over the course of about a year to update our living room and dining room. With Ev's excellent help, we picked paint colors, carpet, material to reupholster dining room chairs, and new furniture for the living room. Ev is extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. I am really delighted with the results. I recommend her very highly.

I was fortunate enough to have Ev for a design consult. She was delayed to our scheduled appointment but kept me appraised as to her ETA and was in constant contact. Ev is very knowledgeable about interior design. She listened to my wants and needs and understood my point of view and my concerns. She spent a great deal of time with me and I never felt rushed. Ev was was very professional. She arrived on time and came well prepared. She was hired to help coordinate paint colors in our new 3100 sq. ft. home. She also provided suggestions for furniture placement using both our current furniture and future purchases. She was very easy to work with and very flexible.

Ev is a supremely professional and talented individual who really worked well to translate our 50,000 foot concepts into real world choices. She listened carefully and creatively crafted recommendations to assist in advancing our project. Without her most able assistance, I seriously doubt that we would have made as much progress on refining our project as we have. I am sure that she has saved us several weeks of effort, immeasurable levels of stress and from making mistakes that we would regret sooner rather than later. We will continue to tap into her expertise and design creativity as we progress through this undertaking. Total project involves painting flooring replacement and remodel of 2 bathrooms estimated to cost about $40,000. Description of work: Engaged elg design for consulations on color and finishes. Ev guided us through selection of color pattete for painting, suggested flooring finishes and colors, and countertop materials and colors. She guided us in laying out the paint schema for the entire house.

This has been an example of a win-win relationship where client & designer have an honest & open communication about wants, needs, cost, priorities, & a willingness to consider new options while not abandoning one's core personality. I am also flexible about how much involvement is required of me & who makes the purchases. It is also helpful to have clients who follow through on their 'homework' to do their part in moving a project forward.

When this first segment of home improvements is completed, I look forward to assisting with the "wish list" as additional elements are ready to be undertaken.

Ev provided a quality professional experience. She had excellent taste and made knowledgeable suggestions but never pushed her ideas on us. She was prompt and provided clear value for her fee. We were extremely pleased with the results which included reupholstering a sofa, loveseat, overstuffed chair, six dining room chairs and two bench cushions. Of great importance to us was the fact that she was pleasant, courteous and respectful of our time.

When professionals & their clients are able to share & exchange ideas & articulate needs, wants & likes/dislikes, the entire process runs more smoothly & the best results are likely to happen. They were open to my vision & loved the results - so did I! The attached photos depict "after", fabric swatches (colors show somewhat more accurately if clicked on to enlarge), & "before". Yes, the floral sofa is the "before" version.

The price-range shown above by the client for the project included design fee, fabric, reconstruction materials, labor & related costs, for reupholstering 2 sofas, an oversized armchair, 6 dining chairs, 2 bench seats & various pillows & rolls.

LCG Construction

Ev came out & surveyed our property, observing architectural design, natural lighting, location & surrounding geography, & together with my love of certain color directions, came up with a color palette for the exterior of our 6,000+ sq.ft. house + detached garage, & wrought iron railing, that I love & am excited to execute. I was amazed at how she was able to pull out colors from her paint fan & put them together to create what I never would have been able to accomplish on my own. Additionally, she explained her reasons for & against various colors, & honored my input that reflects my personality in arriving at the colors chosen.

Thanks for this lovely review! This was a complete furnishing & outfitting of an empty rental unit into a turnkey vacation rental in Marina Del Rey, CA. Key was finding value-based but durable furniture & in a playful color palette given its coastal location & limited lighting interior. The client also loves color. He has had great success in renting it out & has received very positive feedback from his renters, along with top rating from at least one major rental website. I can't wait until our next project!

Commented: No brown!Yes I agree with a creamy color. If you like accent walls you can do one in a darker shade. Accent the teal in the area rug with toss pillows, wall decor, &/or tabletop accessories.
