Ella Scott Design has done it for us again! We undertook a major (gut) renovation and addition of a classic home from 1912. ESD worked with us from architectural planning through furniture, art and window treatment installation. They tweaked/made improvements to the floor plans, selected finishes and was on sight to make sure every detail was correct during construction (even spotted and helped correct a few errors). Their experience elevated the quality of our home and saved me so much time. Rarely did I need to attend a showroom visit (as this did not appeal to me nor was it the best use of my time). They executed on my vision and brought it to life. In fact, our house is better than I could have imagined and is a real place of happiness and calm for our family. Highly recommend. Sandra was exactly what I was looking for, beginning to end in the project of redesigning our awkward living room space and our office space. Honestly, I could have chosen almost any of the options that she presented to me. Her taste is flawless, but she is also a terrific listener. She expertly channeled what I (probably poorly) described as my wishes and was very attentive to our budget. We love Sandra. She has such a cool style and is super easy to work with. Hired this company to do a complete renovation of our house. Redid two floors including three bathrooms and the kitchen. Their design/build expertise was essential to doing an outstanding job for us. They interfaced seemlessly with the contractor to pull off a complex undertaking that has given us a new home with great light, as well as pleasing design features like great tile and fixtures in all of the bathrooms and the kitchen. I found Ella Scott on Houzz after hitting the outer limits of what I could pull together to pick interior paint and carpet colors for our new home build. I had never worked with a designer before and was unsure of how to make the process work. I loved Sandra's warm and colorful take on a modern/contemporary style (maybe it's more of a clean traditional style with an edge). Her use and choice of color and style (while generally more upscale than I could probably afford) reflected my personal taste and aesthetic. I made 4-5 "cold call" inquiries via Houzz and was delighted that Sandra responded. She was straightforward, empathetic, and had an immersive creative approach that was very enjoyable for me and more efficient than I would have guessed. Even though she generally takes larger projects with custom elements because of the unspecified time and thought that she puts in to reaching a "creative gestalt" - she considered and then agreed to take on my project of very limited scope. In less than 5 hours she got a feel for our project (reviewing my 30-40 picture Houzz folder with relevant inspiration) and became familiar with all of the cabinetry, lighting, ceramics, and design elements of the home. She pulled together a color palette and plan for each room (working within my limitations), advised me on some interior molding and light fixture questions, and even checked out my initial carpet choices and determined the best colors and which styles to change on her own. All of this happened in a very narrow timeline and I loved and felt very comfortable with all of her choices. I felt like it was a collaborative process and I would love to work with Sandra, and her very helpful assistant Marci, again in the future!

Sandra has a great eye for design! She helped me with various aspects of my renovation -- including paint colors, tile, lighting fixtures, and furniture. She found furniture pieces consistent with my general style and that worked well with other pieces I already owned. I highly recommend her for large or small jobs.

She has a "cool" and original eye has not only informed the interior, but contributed the architectural decisions as well to create a seamless connection between the two.
